Welcome to the What Feasts at Night Buddy Read Discussion thread! This thread officially opens on October 24th and anyone can join at any time. Please keep in mind that spoilers are allowed in this thread but only up to the group's current reading place. Do not spoil the book if you've read further than the group. Any extra days can be used to catch up!

Each day we will be reading by chapters or page numbers. Page numbers are an approximation based on the hardcover or paperback that is the default on Goodreads. The suggested Buddy Read discussion schedule is as follows:

Week of 10/24
Oct 24: 1-50 pgs
Oct 25: 51-100 pgs
Oct 26: 101 - end

Jen K | 1547 comments Sorry Hafs! I got behind in my reading but have 4 days left of my library borrow and may try to finish by Friday if you are still interested.

Also finding that some versions are more than 150 pages.

Jen K | 1547 comments Okay, I read the first 5 chapters. It has been a while since I read the first one. I like the unnamed narrator, the sworn soldier. I forgot about the pronoun thing and such. I like their snark and interactions. I'm already creeped out by whatever killed the first caretaker.

Jen K | 1547 comments Finished! I really like Alex (not unnamed, I just forgot) and I love that the hint of romance is between grey haired Ms Potter and Angus and not the MC.

It was seriously creepy but I'm not sure that I liked that they managed to whitewash it all with a common illness.

I also loved Bors and the widow and their relationship. I enjoy Kingfisher.
