Things continued this way for a while. Everything was well, more and more people were escaping the facility. Kai continued to hang around Death, and help him with anything that needed work.

Death had become worried about Jax's talk.

Kai noticed that Death looked worried, so he asked softly, “Hey, are you okay? I am right here.”

"Jax left talking about killing himself."

Kai became concerned for both Death and Jax. He wrapped his arms around Death, “It’s going to be okay,” he said trying to comfort him. “That must be hard, going through that all by yourself.” He continued, “Even though that’s happening, you can’t go hurting yourself emotionally and physically out of guilt for him.” He was still hugging Death, “I won’t be able to live if you end up getting yourself killed.”

Kai wanted to comfort him more, but he didn’t know how, so he just decided to stay by Death’s side.

Jax walked in and said nothing to them.

Kai liked spending time with Death alone, so when someone came walking in he had felt kind of angry. Though it didn’t show on his face.

Jax went into his room closing the door and ignoring the world

“Ohh,” Kai felt kind of bad for being a little angry at the person that Death was worrying about.

“So that is him,” Kai whispered in Deaths ear. “I won’t be able to do much because he doesn’t know me, but do you want me to go talk to him?”

Kai didn’t want to let go of Death, but he did so he could go talk to Jax.

Kai gave a quick smile and started walking toward Jax’s door. When he got there he knocked on his door lightly.

Kai opened the door and slowly walked into the room.

Kai walked toward Jax until he was right in front of him. He waited a few seconds before sitting on the floor facing him.

Jax had tears rolling down his face

“What’s wrong?” Kai said gently in a detached way. He didn’t know who this person is, all he knew is that Death cared for him. Kai also pitied him. But only a little, so he had to keep his guard up.
