I liked it, though it was a bit slow in the beginning. I just needed to get to the present time in the book. I think it was interesting, but I feel like the love story was a bit unnecessary (or not unnecessary; I just don’t really know how to put it). I know that the book wouldn’t exist without the love story because the plot is built on it, but I was just not rooting for them. I felt like the story would have been just as good and enjoyable if it had an open ending where they didn’t end up together.

It was also funny, and I think that it was exactly what I wanted to read at the time—a light read without a big problem that felt unsolvable.

I don’t know if that makes any sense; I just kind of tried to write down all my thoughts about the book.

I was going to comment the title yesterday, but I totally forgot. Anyway, it's The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern.
