Uh, one of those times that you wondered why this book was left languishing on my tbr all this time. It was such an amazing read. A very broken world and utterly crushed girl but wait, she is a fighter. Her emotions are all over the place, she's so prickly and her anger blows up at any small thing but could deflate just as easily; made my head spins really but with all her trauma, it's only to be expected.

This wasn't a fun universe truly however I enjoyed all the folklores entwined and the powers that manifest through clans which sometimes are also physical. I reckon that would be fantastic to see on screen especially the "fight club" scene. I expected that twist at the end though, the red herring was just too big too prominent to be true. I hope the sequel is just as good.
