MountainKat | 31762 comments I know that seems long, but the audio is pretty short. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Danielle Gypsy Soul (afdaniellet) | 1085 comments Week 11: Completion Post: Bake at 450F (or 230C)
Option 1

Read a book with an avg GR rating of at least 4.3 stars.
Book: A Beginner's Guide to Christmas Miracles by Shannon Mae
Pages: 118
Date Read: 12/13
Rating: 4 Stars
Review: This was super cute and a great Christmas read. I love the way that the author wrote on how the Santa Tradition started. Definitely an instant love but I didn't mind it. It was fun seeing Adam and Minos as well. This is one I wouldn't mind reading around Christmas time again!

They look good to me. I'm off to my office Christmas Party but wishing everyone good luck getting your books done quickly!

Lovely best friends to enemies to lovers and more story! I really enjoyed Apollo and Ridge's story. The teasing from the other guys and the acceptance of family made it even better. Well narrated by Liam DiCosimo and Tim Paige too.

Book - Copycat Thriller Killer
Read - 12/13
Rating - 2.5 stars
Review - I feel like this genre is just not for me. Everyone tried to be too funny, some parts of the book were simply ridiculous. This is also the first book I'm reading in this series. With it being #19 on the list, probably not the best idea.

MountainKat | 31762 comments OK, I'm about to shut down for the night. I have checked all the posts through here and they all look correct and complete.

We are missing PurpleLadi's completion and both Avigail's posts for the week. I'm keeping my fingers crossed they will be posted by the time I get up. 🤞🏼

Remember when we have those three missing posts, go post in the Q&A thread that we are done.

Book: Fatal Consequences
Author: Marie Force
Page Count: 333 pages, Kindle Edition
Qualification: The book has 4.45 star rating
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Date Read: 12/14/24
Review: I am glad that during 2024 I found Marie Force' s writing and the Fatal and First Family series. Sam and Nick are a fantastic duo, and the whole cast of people around them.
While reading Fatal Consequences you can see how politics are an ugly game, and people can get greedy and blinded by the power it gives.
Fatal Consequences is a gripping mystery that weaves politics, romance, and suspense together. The plot of the third installment of the Fatal series features a complex web of secrets and lies that lead to a shocking crime. At the same time, the romantic subplot between Samantha and Nick adds a personal stake to the investigation.
Nick & Sam have problems from before they met, but they are based on honest communication, making them an influential couple in Washington, DC. After reading a book from the Fatal series, it makes me want to pick the next book. Sam reminds me of Eve Dallas from the In Death series, and Nick reminds me of Roark. That is the reason I enjoy both series very much.

Avigail (avigailr) | 666 comments I posted my completion.
I went for a walk and started the audiobook; I couldn't put it down. I took a small break for lunch with my family and then continued until the end of the book.
Please check my completion to ensure that everything in the post is correct. I appreciate everything and I like our team.

MountainKat | 31762 comments Looks good to me Avigail! I love that series too. There are similarities between In Death and the Fatal/First Family series, but the characters are still so different. The formula clearly works for both of us. 😊

Aiswrya | 2053 comments Just added the first book to my TBR. Hope I like it as much as the two of you 🤞

MountainKat | 31762 comments I've got our tracking updated. All the posts look good, only PurpleLadi's Completion Post outstanding.

message 318: by MountainKat, Moderator (new)

MountainKat | 31762 comments I got bored waiting on laundry and checked some of the other team threads. There is at least one team with only one completion outstanding and another very close to that.

PurpleLadi, how is your book coming along? Are you just about done?

MountainKat | 31762 comments Well, it looks like Team 9 has beat us. 🙁 Jane hasn't confirmed, so if you finish PurpleLadi and Jane hasn't made the announcement go ahead and post in the Q&A. But I know some of those players and I doubt they made any errors.

message 321: by Aiswrya (new)

Aiswrya | 2053 comments Kat, thanks for being an awesome captain through all the real life events you went through!

And to the rest of the team - It was a fun challenge and I enjoyed playing with all of you! Hope to see you all in other challenges. Happy Holidays!

message 323: by Avigail (new)

Avigail (avigailr) | 666 comments Kat, thanks for everything. Maybe we can ask Jane next round to put us on the same team. I had a lot of time getting knowing you and doing the reading challenge.

MountainKat | 31762 comments Thanks Avigail! I would happily be on another team with you!

Danielle Gypsy Soul (afdaniellet) | 1085 comments Thanks - bummer we didn't win but it was fun. You were a great captain!

#Claimed By Crayson
Star Rating: 5
Review:
Crayson and Jordyn book is a semi-enemy to lover’s story. The way the two of them bickered, I suspected that if they got together sparks would fly. Those Madden men are seriously “Hot”. I fell out laughing at the scene where her they were a bit lit and her best friend kept repeating the same phrase. This was a great book.

Sorry, I cost us the win. It was fun trying though.
