[⚰️ who was your favorite character? Why?]
hmmm, it'll have to be rieta! she's such a sweetheart and gentle soul, feeble as she is. you can ignore the feeble part. it doesn't matter. some people are born that way, and it's okay. she's such a gentle-hearted person and so very kind. i can't wait to see her relationship with killian progress more!
[⚰️ who was your least favorite character? Why?]
obviously, lord cassarius!! let's ignore the fact that he's mentioned as a dead old grandpa, but the things he did are so disgusting, how could i not hate him? like PLEASE, he has a full-grown son yet he kept begging for a widow half his age to marry him?? and when he died he wanted her to be buried alive with him?? goodbye.
[⚰️ what was your favorite thing about the book? Why?]
the artwork. i can't say much about the plot or characters yet, since we're only 13 episodes in, but the artwork is truly amazing!! i found a few inconsistencies here and there lol, but that's on me for not finding it "perfect". do with that what you will. the artwork is phenomenal, it glows.
[⚰️ what was your least favorite thing about the book? Why?]
i'm not particularly sure, but i suppose the first episode. it was an interesting entry, for sure, but i find it really uncomfortable and displeasing to know that people actually get buried alive in this world. as tributes. just because the dead person wanted that as their dying wish. it's disgusting, and i'm not kidding when i say that people like that need to be better educated.
[⚰️ what would you change about the book? Why?]
there isn't much i would like to change since, again, it's a short thirteen episodes, but the pacing felt a little off. it would be flowing smoothly but then all of a sudden we'd be overcome by a new scene and completely new information to grasp.
[⚰️ what character would you most like to carve a pumpkin with? Why?]
definitely anna!! sure, she is eight years old and really wonky, but she's so adorable and fun! we haven't gotten much of her yet, but so far, she's a cutie and i feel like doing anything enjoyable with her would serve as a wonderful memory!
[⚰️ what character would you most like to protect you from vampires? Why?]
killian, duh. like it's not even a question. he's literally the epitome of a morally gray personality. he's so aloof and "bored", but PLEASEEEE, the artworks of him are so good-lookinggggg, i should stop. yup. but yeah, him.
[⚰️ what moment from the book would you most like to happen to you? Why?]
i'm not so sure, since there aren't many memorable scenes, but i guess i'd like to get my own house within a castle's grounds!! it would be so fun, especially since the house in the manhwa looks so cozy and cute!
[⚰️ what character would you most like to spend a rainy fall day with? Why?]
reita, for sure. she's our fmc, and while we aren't very alike, there's one trait we share in common: being naive. i don't find myself naive, but am told that i am, so i feel like talking to her with a cup of tea on a rainy fall day would be really comforting. we'd definitely talk about many many things!!

⚰️ what was your favorite quote from the book? Why?
“One could live with almost anything, as long as they had something to live for.” not to get sad or deep or anything but this was my favorite quote for a multitude of reasons. i feel that it’s so true and relatable because even when you’re feeling down, if you have someone or something to hold on to, it’ll work out in the end because you have them. but if you don’t, then that’s when it can get really hard to get better so i think it’s just so important that everyone has their someone or something because they’ll/it’ll help them get through their struggles.

⚰️ who was your least favorite character? Why?
My least favorite character was Blackbird. She came across as incredibly annoying and obnoxious, with a level of immaturity that felt unrealistic for someone in their twenties. Her inability to communicate effectively was frustrating, especially considering the situations she found herself in. It detracted from any potential depth in her character.
⚰️ what was your least favorite thing about the book? Why?
The dialogue was my least favorite aspect of the book. It felt forced, cheesy, and unrealistic, making it difficult to connect with the characters. Instead of creating tension or humor, it often came off as cringe-worthy. This detracted significantly from the overall reading experience and left me disengaged.
⚰️ what would you change about the book? Why?
If I could change anything, I would focus on character development and dialogue. Making the characters more relatable and mature would enhance the story’s credibility. I would also aim to eliminate the overused tropes that made the narrative feel stale and predictable, offering a fresh perspective instead.
⚰️ what character would you most like to carve a pumpkin with? Why?
If I had to choose a character to carve a pumpkin with, I’d lean toward Rowan. Despite the negatives surrounding him, he might offer some dark humor to make the experience amusing. A lighthearted approach could make the task less tedious and more entertaining.
⚰️ what character would you most like to protect you from vampires? Why?
Rowan cause I’d want someone strong and resourceful to protect me from vampires. Ideally, he who possesses skills or knowledge that could effectively deal with supernatural threats. A side character who is clever and level-headed could provide the support needed in such a precarious situation.
⚰️ what moment from the book would you most like to happen to you? Why?
Literally none, maybe the coffee shop scene at the beginning but overall I hated this book. Overall, the experience of reading the book was negative, leading me to wish to forget it rather than seek any memorable moments. Nothing stood out as something I’d want to experience.
⚰️ what character would you most like to spend a rainy fall day with? Why?
I would prefer to spend a rainy fall day with a lark who brings warmth or wisdom. The main characters felt too irritating to enjoy a cozy day with, but a more grounded character could provide interesting conversation and a comforting presence, making the day enjoyable.
