definitely the contents of part 1. part 2 and part 3 were very compelling and alluring, giving you loads of the thriller element, but part 1 was literally a dump of drama and nonexistent romance. if you've seen my updates, you can see that i described it as a "roblox brookhaven roleplay" in the first part, and while it was fast-paced, it was really annoying.

⚰️ what was your least favorite thing about the book? Why?
The love relationship between siblings, they weren't related per se but they grew up together and they treated each other like siblings all throughout the book. It made it super uncomfortable and overall ruined the vibe for me. I think if that one detail was left out it would be a be that as the book would've made perfect sense without it.
⚰️ what would you change about the book? Why?
Them having kids. I think it was obvious that Malachai would not be a good father, and he literally said he had no intention of having kids aside the weird breeding kink with Olivia. It also just made me feel bad for the kid, Malachai has serious possessiveness issues over Olivia and enev in the epilogue he was upset with the kid for demanding affection which is so weird and creepy for me.

maybe luke or anna, their almost relationship was so cute and they never really did anything that angered me to the point my blood boiled. they were also didn't contribute to the worsening of the already worst plot to ever exist. but, in the end, both of them deserved so much better. (+9)

LITERALLY EVERYBODY ELSE. oh my gosh, this was the most boring "thriller" i've ever read. there was nothing remotely THRILLING about it. characters were dry, plot was dry, my eyes were dry from forcing myself to read this sin of a book, DO NOT RECOMMEND. (+9)

the fact that there was no plot. or maybe the fact that every chapter was literally the same thing over and over again. or maybe it was the extremely low stakes that they forced me to care about. or how about the surface level characters who had the same emotional range as a piece of celery. (+9)

this was really cute!! it's a holiday novella, so i guess reading it in october isn't the best decision, but it's definitely a fast-paced and cutesy read!! i'm not a huge fan of tella and dante, so this novella being based on them didn't give it much of an advantage. but the scarjulian crumbs and js being ABLE to be back in stephanie's world made up for it, sort of.

this was such a fun experience!! i mean, it wasn't as good as the original truly devious series and there were many inconsistencies throughout it, but i loved being back with stevie, janelle and nate, especially since i love their personalities and friendship. the mystery itself was an intriguing one, but i feel like we should've gotten more of stevie's thought process as to how she came to the conclusion. it just felt abrupt.

oh my gosh. this was amazing!! i most certainly did NOT expect to love this so much, but in the history of every book i've red so far, this is the FIRST contemporary book i have rated five stars, which is a huge feat for me to accomplish. i loved how it combined the tropes of found-family, college life, great friendships, slice of life, and a great example of healthy relationships. i'll go more in-depth in my actual review, soon.

everything. literally everything. and i am neither kidding nor exaggerating. this book is SO underrated but at some level, i'm glad it is, because it gets to be MINE and besides, i feel like most people wouldn't like it that much. i loved the romance, the found family, the tragic things that happened on the side, the plot, the characters, the scenery, the writing. literally everything.

alice in wonderland was such a lovely re-read for me! i absolutely ADORED the world and stories that were exchanged in the book, and it definitely lived up to the standards I had in my mind from when I had read it years ago. It's honestly SUCH a magical book for me, and one of the books I would absolutely LOVE to end the year with! of course the classic ending was something, but you know what? the whole book made up for it, and all in all, this was a magical experience!

Alice maybe, because I love her sense of humour and curiosity, but also I love the mad hatter too. His humour literally made me laugh sm, it was so refreshing and reminded me of heartless by marissa meyer. I loved how he came to Alice's aid and at other times, just like completely disappear.
(⚰️ what was your favorite thing about the book? Why?)
Definitely the magical aspect of the book, whenever I'm reading this, it always takes me to the world and I feel like I was the one falling through a hole, and into wonderland. There's just something so extraordinary and beautiful about the book, especially since I have a BEAUTIFUL special edition on my bookshelf, thank goodness.

The ending definitely, like I feel like if he hadn't added that last scene into it, it would have still seemed MORE magical, and might've meant more to some people too, but it's honestly okay because the rest of the book makes up for it <3

THE MARCH HARE!! hes so funny and I love his qualities, I just feel like he would be very insightful and it would be very fun to carve a pumpkin with him! The tea party scene was so funny and relatable and I even made a pin board on it because it was super aesthetic.

Literally either when Alice got into wonderland, the queen's meeting with her, or the tea party! They're all wonderful, majestic scenes, and I'd LOVE to be Alice while she got to experience all of these lovely memories and experiences, especially meeting with all the characters too! <33

alice!! me and my bestie would have such an amazing time together, talking about all sorts of stuff! Alice is the type to ask questions, and i just KNOW the questions would be as lovely as she is! I'd love to have her as a friend! <3
