Review: This book shows how opposites do in fact attract. Larry a University professor and Al a gentle giant who is a dock worker but not the sharpest tool in the shed but the sweetest and most caring find love and acceptance in each other. This is a super sweet and poignant read.

Thanks for the correction JL, unfortunately what you added still doesn't work. The qualification needs to be something that can be found on GR...the book page, lists, tags, etc. In this case just stating that the book is MPG Ireland is sufficient. A quote from the book doesn't work because Jane may not have access to it, so would have no way of verifying it.

It literally states in the description for the book, on it's main page, that it takes place in Glenshire, Ireland. Does that work for qualification?

Yes, there's no question the book qualifies, and there are multiple ways of proving it. The problem is you need to tell Jane in your selection post very specifically where to look to see that proof...quoting a portion of the precis, stating that it's MPG Ireland, etc. It's just a matter of Jane being able to go straight to your qualification rather than having to hunt for it, considering how many she has to check each week.

Week #2

[*book:The Most Wonderful Crime of the Year|210344710]
Read: 10/16/24
Rating: ✶✶✶
Review:
I really loved The Blonde Identity by Ally Carter. So I expected to like this book too. Unfortunately, this one lacked something for me. There was some good banter and enemies to lovers vibe. But I would have liked more heat between Maggie and Ethan. And the mystery of the disappearance of Eleanor Ashley was pretty predictable. All in all, this was an okay read. Not terrible. But not great either.

Option 1

Rating: 4 stars
Review: This was very entertaining, and a great beginning to what promises to be a fun series. I don't read a lot of steampunk but tend to enjoy it when I do, and this didn't disappoint. It takes place in a finishing school for girls that specializes in espionage training and is located on a giant dirigible...throw in vampires, werewolves and all sorts of mechanical 'creatures'...what more could you want? The narration by Moira Quirk was also excellent.

[*book:Not in Love|198972842]
Read: 10/21/24
Rating: ✶✶✶
Review:
This was definitely darker and more erotic than Hazelwood’s other books. I did not expect that. The MCs had their issues to overcome. And there was lots of heat between them. So things were pretty ‘real’ in this book. But I was hoping for something more lighthearted, with a rom com vibe. So for me this was just a 3 star read.

Review: what a sweet story! I love age play m/m romances if done well and this one definitely was done well! Younger daddy older little trope also first time daddy as well. I couldn't help but love Matteo. His first daddy encouraged him to get tattooed and work out to build his body into the muscular big man he became and then dumped him after 10 years saying he wasn't what being a little was about. Matt was getting so discouraged no daddy would actually want him he was going to hang up his binkie forever and look for a vanilla lover. Luckily he met London before he did that. I'm so looking forward to reading more in the series!

Review: I love this series as much as I did Jon's series and I'm so glad Sherwood decided to make this spin-off. The Scotland setting was great as were the characters introduced in this book. I'm hoping Eli, Quinn, and Booker make more appearances in future books.

I enjoy the MacKenzie & McBrides series. And this was a good Christmas story featuring the MCs from previous books. The family is spending Christmas together. And there are pregnant wives and children adding joy and stress to the holidays. This was a heartwarming and romantic holiday story.

Review: It was great to catch up with Seth and Lars in this continuation of their story. We meet them again 3 years into their relationship and everything is still not perfect. But what relationship really is? What they have instead is a very true and deep connection that survived Lar's parents and other shenanigans. Just take a little arrest to get everyone to get along.

Review: Virgin River is one of those fictional places that I really wish was real, because I would LOVE to visit (or possibly even live) there. The characters are wonderful, the setting sounds beautiful, and the narration by Therese Plummer is great. Every time I read (or reread) one of the books in the series I finish with a case of the warm and fuzzies! 😁 Add in a holiday theme and I can't imagine getting to the end of the book without a smile on my face. I'm really enjoying rereading the series, and I'm looking forward to moving on to the next book!

Review: I liked the story and the characters; I just wish there was more character building and more back story for Everett and Kayn. Hopefully in book 2. I also loved the twist at the end and can't wait to hopefully learn more of Ashwick's secrets because it seems This little town has some huge dark secrets lurking around the corner.

Review: What a cute Romance! You really have to suspend your disbelief and Tom refers to himself in the third person throughout the book but despite these things I very much enjoyed this book so much! The series is a bit like all the Lorelei M Hart books but with more character backgrounds and development. I'm absolutely going to read more of these for sure.
