Gent because he honestly was the sweetest Divh. The way he protected Talia warmed by heart. He showed that he cared for he in his own way and I just couldn’t get enough of him. He is such a gentlemen. If I could have him as my own Divh I would wholeheartedly take him!

My favourite thing about this book was probably have it give off Mulan vibes. Like I wasn’t expecting to be getting those vibes from this book but I did. The vibes are similar since Mulan goes under cover as a male to fight in war while Talia goes under cover as her death brother to fight with Divhs.

My least favourite thing is that it was very hard to get into this book. It took my quite a bit to get into it. The beginning was a bit boring but it did start picking up quite before the middle off the book which I was happy about but still I probably would off have rated this higher if the book has picked up from the start.

The thing that I would change about the book is adding more tournament. I just feel like there wasn’t enough on it in the book. Like the tournament takes place at the end of the book and there’s scenes of it but not enough to my liking. More fighting scenes should of been probably added and them being also more described so that we as reader would know what is happening.

I have to say Josh, but it is closely followed by the maneater herself, Jules Ambrose. I was really surprised that he was the one who fell first AND harder (in my opinion) and I LOVED how he described Jules and his feelings towards her (he should really try to write poetry) I always understood his actions EXCEPT how he treated Jules after she admitted what she did to him.
Another thing I really liked about him, is that Ana Huang molded his wishes of the future to him, because he would DEFINITELY NOT be the guy who wants kids in the first two years of the relationship)

They are so incredibly funny and I had to laugh every single time they appeared because somehow they managed to heal my inner child.

I absolutely HATED Sutton, Josh’s and Atlas’s Mother. She was even worse than Ryle, Lily’s father or Tim. It broke me to see Josh suffering because of her, and knowing Atlas went through almost the exact same trauma is just utterly cruel.I didn’t understand her rage against both of her sons at all. I can’t imagine how people who are actually EXPERIENCING and LIVING such a hate coming from a person who should be there for them, and not breaking them.

My favourite character has to be Sybil. I’ll say she’s the only character in this whole book that made me get through this book. She’s the one who actually has some common sense and did not make me want to throw the book across the room.

My least favourite character is Selene. She was insufferable and very annoying. I cannot count how many times I wanted to strangle her. Every single thing she did made me sigh out of boredom whenever she opened her mouth. The way she said so many times that she hated the mmc guts but still kissed him back like make up your own damn mind.

⚰️what was your favourite thing about the book? why? (+9)

My favourite thing has to be Selene familiar, that leopard just made the book more interesting. Like him coming back to her covered in blood and then her being shock, like he’s a leopard he’s going have to eat something (not people though). I wouldn’t mind having him as my familiar.

⚰️what was your least favourite thing about the book? why? (+9)

My least favourite thing has to be that there really wasn’t much of a plot in this book. Like it was mostly all smut and some random small plots put together. This whole book was all over the places especially with the time skips as well. Like it’s not that hard to stick to one plot at all.

⚰️what would you change about the book? why? (+9)

I would change basically everything like there isn’t a single thing in this book that probably should stay there maybe except Selene familiar (which I can’t remember the name of) and Sybil. Like I would add a decent plot line and follow it through by not adding random ones that are wholeheartedly not needed.

“All magic comes at a cost. For sorcerers, it’s the conscience. For shape-shifters, it’s their physical form. For me, it’s my memory.”

The only good quote I could actually remember is this one above so therefore I’m making this my favourite quote!

⚰️what character would you most like to carve a pumpkin with? why? (+9)

I would love to carve a pumpkin with Sybil. That girl it’s literally the only person in the book with common sense and therefore I honestly feel like we’ll have the best time in the world carving a pumpkin together.

⚰️what character would most like to protect you from vampires? why? (+9)

The only character that I’m most certain that could save me from a vampire is mannon (mmc) like he’s an ancient male. He’s really powerful and he’s know what he’s doing even though I’m not a fan of him at least I have so conscious to know that he’ll protect me.

⚰️what moment from the book would you most like to happen to you? why? (+9)

The moment that I would to happen to me from the book is probably the friendship between Selene and Sybil. Even though there were some secrets between each other it’s quite obvious that they care deeply about each other.

⚰️what character would you most like to spend a rainy day with? why? (+9)

The character I would love to spend a raining day is the familiar like the amount of fun we would both have jumping around into puddles, running in the rain. Who wouldn’t want to spend a raining day with a leopard?! Like it’ll be so fun.

My favourite character was Rachel. I honestly felt bad for her that no one in the house believed her what was happening. My heart was just breaking for her. The things she went through in the house were honestly so damn awful. I want to wrap her in a bubble wrap and just keep her safe.

⚰️who was your least favourite character? why? (+9)

My least favourite character is Geoff. He’s Rachel mum boyfriend and the way he treated her throughout this whole book honestly annoyed me. He was the one who wanted to be in control of everything. I mean finding out the reason at the end of the book honestly made me feel a bit sad for the reason he did it but it still doesn’t excuse his behaviour.

⚰️what was your favourite thing about the book? why? (+9)

My favourite thing about the book is the way Rachel being attacked in the house every few weeks being explained so well and it made me want to read to find out how she sorts it out. It was so captivating to read about the horror she went through in the house.

My least favourite thing has to be the way it was solved so quickly. I feel like the ending just came out of nowhere, like there wasn’t a lot of build up to it. I would’ve loved to have her go through more stuff at the end like the way she ended it was just so disappointing like it didn’t seem thrilling at all.

I would probably change the ending of the book to make it more thrilling since it was do disappointing. Like I did not like the way it ended at all like there were a ton of different things that Rachel could of done but sadly she didn’t.

“The key isn’t about Nick. It’s about my reminder that you can’t hide the truth forever. It will always come crashing through whatever barriers you’ve set up to keep it away, no matter how many you build.”

I would love to carve a pumpkin with is honestly rachel. Like the amount of fun we would have together. Like I’ll be there wondering if she’s gonna curve what she saw around the house cause i would love to see her carving the faces.

I would say no one but me and Rachel would both just run around the house with garlic in our hands hoping that the method actually works.

⚰️what moment from the book would you most like to happen to you? why? (+9)

Probably me being as paranoid as Rachel, since I’m so easy to get anxious about every little thing. But there isn’t really anything in this book that I would like to happen to me cause this is not me in a horror book but Rachel.

Obviously me and rachel would have so much fun just dancing and jumping in puddles together, like yeah we might be a bit paranoid with other stuff happening currently. But we would have the best day since Rachel deserves a good friend.

I had such a fun time reading a witchy book. Like the vibes were there and that’s what I needed. I do like this one a bit less than the ex hex but I still had the best time reading this book. I cannot wait to read the next one in the series!!! Like i’m so excited to see how it ends

My favourite character has to be Wells, like this man honestly just could not nothing wrong. I admire the way he really cares about his dad and doesn’t want to see his wrong doing but at the end Wells had to accept that his dad is not the good guy here.

My least favourite character is Morgan. She came back into town since she heard new people take care of the magic and ever since she came back she just have been very annoying. We do find out what type of person she is at the end of of the book which I’m quite happy about. Like I’m happy they round out shined I could give a shit about her.

⚰️what was your favourite thing about the book? why? (+9)

My favourite thing about the book has to be Gwynn and Wells fighting to be the best shop. Since Wells came back he opened up a store that rivals Gwynn and they were both trying to be the best shop in the market and that honestly was so nice to read about.

My least favourite thing has to be that I did found it a bit boring, like stuff didn’t happen until the end of the book. The build up also wasn’t as much exciting as I thought it would be.

I would probably make Wells and Gwynn interact a bit more together. Like I loved all their scenes together but like I need more of those scenes it just wasn’t enough for me like I need more of them.

I would love to carve a pumpkin with Wells. I feel like the vibe could be there. Like i’m honestly curious on how our dynamic would be together. Like I feel like he definitely will not like me at all but a girl can dream in her imaginative world.

Honestly Gwynn, because her powers have expanded towards the end of the book and I honestly would feel so safe with her. Also also she’s got more powerful and her magic takes care of the town so therefore I would be very safe.

Probably when they questioned Morgan and she said that she has no clue what they’re talking about i’ll be the same as Gwynn and believe Morgan straight away. Like I don’t question people when they reply back so me and Gwynn will not be good detectives at all.

The baby witches like I feel like we’ll have the best time casting magic together and it’ll be just so fun. Would we get in trouble? most likely but like that’s the whole fun of it!

I would say that I love the whole idea behind the concept but I just don’t thing the horror aspect was done quite well. Like it’s only there in the last 40 pages and the build up to it also wasn’t exciting at all. But I did enjoy the story of Ash and Rosemary and I will say Rosemary does deserve what she gets in the end.

My favourite character has to be Ash. Even thought this girl has done some questioning stuff in the end but when we got introduced to her i’ve really liked her so much much than Rosemary. Like I love the whole shop thing she has if we were to ignore the end.

My least favourite character has to be Rosemary. The way this girl does not respect boundaries at all. Like the amount of times Ash told her that she’ll be busy during those days and to not bother her and what she does the next day?? goes and visit her. Also the whole snooping around the house the first time she got invited in and then acts so surprised that Ash is pissed at her for snooping like what were you expecting girl.

⚰️what was your favourite thing about the book? why? (+9)

The whole going to the farmers market every Saturday just so that Rosemary can see Ash honestly I will say that this was the best thing throughout the whole book. The longing eyes and the way they just interacted with each other was just so amazing.

The way Rosemary did not respect any boundaries at all, like I get it Ash this go to far in some places but still like respect the boundaries people give you it’s not that hard. And then she has the reason to nearly start crying when Ash calls her out on it like tf.

I would probably bring the ‘horror’ aspect more quickly. Like the horror aspect was only there for the last 40 pages and this is supposed to be a horror book. I was expecting some horror aspect throughout the whole book but no there wasn’t any.

“She is obsessed, she is compelled, she is called. She is a selkie, and Ash has her skin. It’s infuriating and delicious and easy and challenging and tumultuous and she is hungry for me.”

I will have to say Ash even though i’ll question my sanity to be that close to ash with a knife in her hand. She would definitely be so good at carving a pumpkin she’s literally good at doing everything so it shouldn’t be a supposed that she’ll be good at carving a pumpkin.

Sadly have to say Ash again her with her knives and being a serial killer would definitely make her the best character to be able to kill a vampire and protect you just for a while even.

Definitely going back to the farmers market for those cupcakes like Rosemary has been. Like when you find a good cupcake, you find a good cupcake like i’ll be paying any prices to be eating good cupcakes.

I would have to probably say Rosemary for this one. Honestly i’ll be honest I just don’t really want to be spending so much time with Ash so this is the reason i’m picking Rosemary for this one. If you read the book you honestly can’t blame me.

This was such a magical read. It was heartwarming and playful. It was such an amazing story and love and family with a powerful core vibrant through the character. My least favourite character has to be Tat. I just did not like her at all. Also have no idea why she would be included in the book like I get it Nova need to have friends but just the way Tat talks about hating magic around her friend who’s a witch really just annoyed me.

My least favourite thing has to be that the beginning of the book was really boring like I could not get into it. There was just nothing happening and even though it’s lovely illustrated I just seemed to not care about it at all. The story didn’t start picking up until the half way mark.

I would love to carve a pumpkin with Nova and Tam even though I would most likely end up third wheeling at the end. Like I feel like us three would have just an amazing time, if we ignore the third wheeling part. Like those two are so in love that they’ll probably forget i’m there.

Honestly I feel like Nova grandma would, since she’s a powerful witch already and she thought Nova everything she knows. Even though I feel like Nova could honestly save me I would rather feel safer knowing her grandmother is the one saving me instead.

I would love to spend a raining day with Tam since she’s a werewolf and throwing a ball and playing catch will be more fun that just spending a raining day with a witch I mean it might end up being an interesting day but I rather spend it with a werewolf instead.
