I loved this one because while its fairly short and easy to read, it was at a different setting than the other books and had a more creepier vibe to it. I loved how all the girls bonded more with each other, like strengthened their friendship and it was just so cute how they all supported each other! I also really like how Rose finally got more of a story rather than just being a background character. This is one of my favourite comfort series and I just really enjoy their adventures so much!! I mean there were some parts where the characters appeared immature but then I remembered that I'm older than them and I was probably like that at their age too (they're like 13 I think) and also the intended age audience for this book is like 8-14 😭 but anyways

Wrath because they way he cared for Emilia even with the curse on, like he wanted to love her but whenever he got close to he made sure to stop before she would get taken from him. Also the things this man has been saying has me swooning to my knees. I would take this man with me and lock him in my house.

I don’t understand Wrath curse at all. I mean like why did he even get an option to break the curse in the first place and the whole curse also didn’t really guarantee anything for Sursea at all. Like she gained nothing from this just the knowledge that she took away his wings and ability to love. Like I don’t even know why she bothered with the curse like there wasn’t a need for it especially since wrath didn’t promise to grant her wish if he failed.

I’ll honestly say both Wrath and Emilia since there was a scene with vampires coming at them and they both were really good at protecting each other. But I would probably pick Emilia since in the book she’s not good at controlling her fury so her magic response to her when she’s pissed off and they way she protected herself against them tells me that she will be the one to save me.

Definitely Kitay because out of all the characters, he was truly a good and ethical human being. He wouldn't have cared if we were friends or not because he cares about saving others. I love my girl Rin but she would probably sacrifice me or get me turned into a vampire for a war strategy advantage lolll. But yeah, essentially Kitay was always trying to convince Rin not to commit a genocide and Rin went crazy because she was honed to be a war weapon and went though too much trauma and went crazy paranoid towards the end. So i guess thats the single character that would protect me.

Y’ALL WERE so RIGHT ABT THIS BOOK OMFG.
First of all: The characters.
Liz: she had AMAZING character development (her relationships w Helena,Joss and even Laney. I could really identify with her at the beginning, but I slowly realized she’s still hung up abt her mother, but I still REALLY liked her
Wes: what can I say abt him? He’s just PERFECT. I felt the chemistry between these two instantly in their first interaction (although Lynn painter pushed the “if a boy is messing with you, that means he likes you” stereotype in my opinion
Joss: I didn’t really get why she’s best friends with Liz because all of the interactions were uncomfortable for Liz (up to prom) and at the end I even liked Laney a bit better, but I’m happy they had that talk at prom
Helena: tbh, if Liz wouldn’t have stated that she’s like Lorelai Gilmore, I would’ve found her a little bit weird but I REALLY liked her and how she treated Liz and how she tried to grow a bond between them even though Liz was a total Brat about that and was SO stubborn
THIS is what I mean when I say there is potential in a book and in this one it was CLEARLY used.
