but Claire was blaming something else on her dad. what a stupid reason to take it out on someone else. Claire sounds like a huge a-hole who thinks she deserves everything.

But where did Jena's phone go? and who is in the bronco?
this wouldn't be a Jena/Felix thing right? And Dylan was sweet, could it be him?

but wow, I was rooting for Brooke but she was truly an awful person too! Crazy that she actually DID kill her

and THEN we find out that Dylan, Flix and Jena all do the long con and are nice to her the whole year while ALSO attempting to manipulate and scare her? I don't understand why they remained friends with her at all. I can't even imagine that.

The boat the keep referring to...just some of that stuff is very much like what happened when Mallory Beach was killed in the boating accident that started the whole string of events for the Murdaugh murders. There was a great true crime account of it I read earlier this year Swamp Kings: The Story of the Murdaugh Family of South Carolina and a Century of Backwoods Power that I definitely recommend! Finished! I enjoyed this so much! Not as much as That's Not My Name, because that one felt so unique, and this one is more mainstream YA Thriller. Nevertheless, I loved my time reading this. I had almost everything I enjoy!

Damn Claire was not a nice person, although it kind of seems like Brooke isn't either. I will say though I liked Brooke's plan to throw cans at the Bronco to break its' windshield. This is getting really good.

Ok I was not expecting Jena to be in on whatever is going on here. So in the flashbacks they're out on a boat and Brooke is driving it drunk. So I'm guessing Claire drowns somehow? Did Brooke have something to do with it? Is that what this is all about?

Ok wow so Claire didn't die in an accident, Brooke straight up drowned her. That's crazy, I was rooting for her to get out of things ok and she's nuts. The fact Jena, Felix, and Dylan planned this whole thing to get her to confess was crazy. And the Brooke tried to kill Jena to stop it. I'm glad she was caught and arrested along with her dad. The chat log epilogue thing was a great way to wrap up the book.
