Tami (tamicarvallo) | 6987 comments Are editions from Book of the Month allowed? I understood they weren’t permitted in the catalog, but I couldn’t find anything using the search function in the group. Just checking!

Scott | 8635 comments I think they are usually duplicates of mass market ISBNs, so they wouldn't need a separate entry.

Oh, okay, so they are allowed. I thought they weren't. I just came across a bunch of those added as ACEs and was wondering if that was permitted because it's the first time I've seen that. I thought they weren’t allowed since BOTM is subscription-based.

Scott | 8635 comments Well, it's not that they are allowed per se, it's just that the regular version would already be here (or could be added) and the cover wouldn't be any different.

I have seen Science Fiction Book Club editions here, though, and they do often have exclusive covers. So I guess if they did have a different cover they would be allowed.
