They're super stereotypical and badly written in the books, but rank them BASED OFF the books? Sure:
12. Zeus. Need I explain?
11. Apollo. I HATED THIS GUY SO MUCH. Hands down the most annoying character I've ever read, I dnfed the second book of ToA because I hated him so much
10. Aphrodite. This is mostly from Greek Heroes, I HATED her in that book, I also just don't like her attitude in the series(s)
9. Ares. Mars is a different story, he was decent(ish), but Ares is awful. In SoM he yelled at Clarisse for nothing and he basically just had not a very big reason to even be there in the first place
8. Athena. She was just so disengaged to all of her children and that whole scene in MoA when she gave Annabeth the coin was just super weird and messed up (I know she was confused between her Greek and Roman selves but it was super sad and weird)
7. Demeter. Putting her right in the middle because I don't even remember her doing anything except telling Percy and Nico to eat cereal
6. Poseidon. He didn't do much except show up and try to be Percy's dad in the last chapter of every book, did he?
5. Hermes. He helped Percy and Annabeth a lot in SoM but of course you can't ignore the whole Luke thing
4. Dionysus. He actually cared about the campers even if he tried really hard to project the opposite
3. Hera. Her plan in HoO actually worked, she's smarter than people credit her for, and I honestly don't get why Annabeth hates her soooo much in the first series
2. Artemis. HELD THE FREAKING SKY so a young maiden didn't have to! And seconds after being released helped fight for/with the demigods
Which leaves....
1 Hephaestus! The dude is literally just so wholesome, he's actually trying with his children, he just has really bad social skills. I just remember him generally being a really nice guy. I also think he helped Percy and Annabeth in BotL though it may not have been a big deal

10) Ares. big headed and somehow has a bigger ego that Zeus

8) Athena. she expects all her children to live up to her expectations (but she's also my godly parent so I may be biased)
7) Hermes. I think he is one of the more human like gods, he genuinely cares for his kids (like he cared for Luke in his own weird way)
6) Apollo. ego bigger than the whole ass sun, but made me laugh so hard. love the bond between him and Artemis sm.
5) Poseidon. he's pretty chill (and he's Percys dad so you can't complain)
4) Artemis. cares so much about her huntersand other demigods.
3) Dionysus. so funny! love his bond with Peter Johnson<3
2) Hephaestus. SO FREAKING WHOLESOME. HE HAS SO TRAUMA AND I JUST WANT TO GIVE HIM A HUG. HES SUCH A GOOD DAD.
1) Demeter. ICONIC. MADE ME LAUGH SO HARD WITH THE CEREAL SCENE.

Ranking of Gods
1. Artemis- she actually cared for the demigods and hunters, like giving Annabeth her blessing to hold up the sky.
2. Hestia- The Last Olympian, and one of the only helpful goddesses in Percy’s life.
3. Poseidon- at least he tries with Percy 🤷🏻‍♀️
4. Hermes- I wanted to cry at school when it went to him and Luke’s relationship. Also, he took the couple to Paris, so I gotta give him extra points for that.
5. Hephaestus- first of all, I spelled his name right !! That’s a huge accomplishment for me anyways. He’s helpful enough, so.
6. Dionysus- didn’t really help at CHB, but he had his moments.
7. Apollo- TOA was funny only bc of Apollo, who is disgusted my his new acne and flab, and calls humans meat sacks. He did learn his lesson, but would probably forget it after 100 years, and maybe even less.
8. Aphrodite- she sometimes cared. I mean, she did gossip a lot with Piper (ofc tho, Pipes didn’t like it).
9. Athena- she overworked her kids so hard, and even sent them to find the Mark of Athena even tho many have failed for years. And, most of her kids have emotional damage and probably listen to This is Me Trying, Mirrorball, Mastermind, and Are You Satisfied? on repeat (at least I do…)
10. Ares- he expects to much out of them. Frank, Clarisse. Yeah, reading the Stolen Chariot and Sea of Monsters prove how Ares children are doing anything to get their father’s attention.
11. Hera- 🐄 🐮 (ifykyk, sry Annabeth)
12. Zeus- naw because quests for him to go to college? You’re done. You’re done.

1. Demeter , as lowri said first - an absolute icon.
2. Hermes , in case you couldn't tell from my Hermes deep dive... he's actually an alright Olympian
3. Hestia, she's chill
4. Artemis, I love how she welcomes young girls with open arms and help demigods
5. Poseidon , he's okay... I guess??? He helps sometimes.
6.Apollo, I haven't read ToA yet, but he seems okay so far.
7. Aphrodite, she's a Percabeth shipper, so I'll give her that
8. Dionysus, he cared for his own kids, sometimes even the other demigods, still won't remember their names
9. Ares , "idk, it's the vibes, man" (a random quote I found on a Renegades tumblr post that I always quote)
10. Athena , for someone who barely interacts with her kids and gifts random people who she thought were smart babies, she expects too much from her kids.
11. Hera , need I say more?
12. Zeus , again, need I say more?

Kind of off topic, but did you guys know that Hades is not considered an Olympian because he lives in the Underworld instead of Mt Olympus. (Ngl being PJ fans you probably know that but the number of ppl I know irl that don’t know that fact is crazyyyyyy).

5. Apollo, I’ve finished book 3 TOA and so far he cares about his children and is becoming less self centred🎶☀️⚕️

2. Hera - she just ripped Percy and Jason out of their lives and erased their memories!
3. Ares - idk I just feel like here's where to put him
4. Aphrodite - solely based on the fact I just re-read the Titans Curse, i mean she literally told Percy she was making his life harder
5. Athena - I mean she's not a good mother and she puts high expectations on Annabeth but she's not the worst
6. Demeter - she really doesn't do much in the main books and I'm not counting Greek Gods in this list
7. Dionysus - He cares about the campers more than he lets on but...peter johnson...
8. Apollo - not the best at first but he's good by the end of ToA
9. Hermes - He actually tries.
10. Hephestus - Good(ish) father and doesn't do much bad stuff
11. Poseidon - great father in comparison

2: Apollo, okay this might be a hot take but, I just found Apollo hilarious in Titan's Curse- he wasn't disrespectful to the demigods, and I feel like he actually cares about his children. (Mind you I haven't read ToA yet so correct me if I'm wrong)
3: Athena, sure she was absent in Annabeth's life for a long time, but so were most godly parents.
4: Aphrodite, she helped Piper when, Piper needed her. Also claimed Piper right when she knew it would help, thank you Aphrodite for siding with Piper over Drew
5: Poseidon, a good parent, but... but... Medusa
6: Hermes, he really tried with Luke. I respect him for that, he did his best, and really cared about Luke and Luke's mom.
7:Hephaestus, seemed to be a good dad from what we saw from, Leo. He cared about his kids even if he couldn't seem to do anything.
8: Demeter, I haven't seen Demeter in any of the books yet so U can't give a fair rating but I'm just gonna add her here
9:Dionysus, he was disrespectful towards the campers, but also hilarious and cared when one of his kids died, so bonus points.
