Did it take you guys a little long to really get into Shatter Me?

I’ve started shatter me and I’m nearing page 100 but I still haven’t quite gotten INTO the book of you know I mean. So I was just wondering if it also took anyone else this long?

I literally DNF'd the first book 😐 I'm trying to get back into it tho cause everyone says they love it

It also took me forever to like it but it gets better like at the second book and when the entire story comes together

i just finished the 2nd and im HOOKED. it did take me until about 75% in the first book to get into it

I didn’t like the first one all that much but I’ve heard other people say the rest of the series is worth it

I read shatter me seven years ago when I was obsessed with booktube and honestly, even now I remember it took a second, for me shatter me was hard because the writing style takes a second to get used to, but Im rereading it now and its a lot easier so 🤷🏼‍♀️🫣

Personally, I really liked it from the first book but I can see what people mean when they say that they didn't get into it until the second/third book.
