so this was sent in announcements: First team to hit 1k comments gets +20 Points BUT if the difference between the team with the least comments and the team with the most comments is over 100, the team with the most comments instead loses 20 Points.

It's not about no. If comments in a row exactly, like if you're explaining something then you could probably do so without it counting as spam. You probably don't need to worry unless you plan to spam. It's a rule for more extreme cases

They need to be comprehensible to english speakers and not consist of a ton of quotes to fill up space. Otherwise, do whatever. A review is personal

As stated in the broadcast, their scaling is the same. Meaning just treat them as regular books for the sheets. The points will be added directly

The points are... wait now they sound so pointless lol, but essentially the team with the most points is the one that's currently winning the overall competition. For now there's no further use for them but now that you've mentioned it, I'm sure it'll get the mods' brains churning lol

if i log a book and it has exactly 500 pts after accounting for the previous points carried over, does it mean that theres then 0 points to be carried to the next book?

just to clarify this doesn’t necessarily mean i’ll make one, it’s just an idea I’ve had (+ I don’t really know goodreads group etiquette, this is the first group I’ve been really active in)
