This book was hard for me to love but very easy for me to grow fond of over time. I do think it was a bit too long and the plot was messyyy, but it became comforting and tbe characters grow on you! I didnt really like the fmc, but kingfisher was a really cool character. I found the premise of quicksilver and alchemy really refreshing and different too.
