Yes! Welcome, Selah.

I was literally thinking that. It could be really interesting.

An she may read my book one day ;)

I’ll read your book when I finish The Stormlight Archive I promise 😉

That would be great. But how do you co-write with someone you don't know irl?
We could create a group just to post this story on, and invite you all lol.

Tbh, I have way too much to write anyway. Just make sure if you write it, you say I contributed.

I’ve tried co-writing. With two different friends. Both times ending up wishing I hadn’t because I’m a pretty opinionated person 😂 it went well, I just had to compromise on ideas and ended up wishing that I had been writing by myself. But then there are also a few benefits, like: you can get someone else’s input and creative ideas. 🤷🏻♀️
Also, I’m with the M.
Magic in fantasy books is never on the good side (at least that I’ve read).
Wait, magic corrupted you, Bella! It’s turned you into an evil monster that won’t see the truth.
Selah, trust me, the superheroes might be bad but magic is NEVER a good thing. *shakes head solemnly*

I might add the belgaraid as another where magic is more of a good guy tool.
And, of course, Gandalf is on the good side.
I think you are right in that magic more lends itself to abuse. In my own stories, magic is more a corrupting force. One of the big questions of humanity is ‘who is God?’ Is there a god above, or am I my own God. Magic gives one greater ability and leads to belief that God is not needed, thus i am my own God. So, corruption.
I haven’t read HP and that is one reason. My parents don’t like the series because it portrays magic as a good thing. I also haven’t read LOTR yet so I can’t give any input on that.
And yes, I agree with that about being our own gods. That will always lead to corruption if we believe we are our own God’s. I think, where I’m ok with magic is when it’s a supernatural ability given by a higher power. Several examples of that are the Shadowcast Trilogy, the Mark of the Raven Trilogy, and I believe even Narnia has that. When it’s given by a higher power it’s more of a supernatural gift than just “magic”.
That’s just my conservative homeschooler perspective on the matter. lol.
