• listening to music can inspire ideas. always make sure you can write any ideas or notes for your book/story either on a sticky note, notebook, or your phone.
• set a writing goal, and surround yourself in a supportive community that’ll help you reach the goal. not because you want to force yourself to get there, but so you can feel accomplished afterwards :)

If you feel the need to organize & outline, go for it, but don't let that sway you from just letting writing flow! Sometimes you'll write a lot or a little and writing SOMETHING is better than nothing. It could be in the beginning, middle, or end. Or you're not sure where to put it - that's alright!
To add on to that, the most important thing is to write something. Don't focus on editing or going over things until you have quite a bit written. What I'll do is write a chapter and then not look at it for awhile, keep writing. You'll think of so many things to add, keep notes on it but don't tweak, edit (especially grammar/sentence flow) - just keep writing to get your story at least written, then perfect it.
Music. My favorite books have playlists, so if you listen to a song and imagine a sing, keep note of it onto the side. Plus listening to music while writing I feel makes it flow so much more. Headphones are a plus (less distraction).
Keyboards. Currently I'm on the worst keyboard, but if you've got funds for fun, search for ergonomic keyboards. That way you'll be comfortable and protect your wrists! Very important (at least, if you're writing on a desk).
The most important thing I think I'm able to offer is (because this is a big one) don't be afraid to let a couple friends read your work. We're usually our biggest critique so some outside perspective (esp if they are not harsh judgers like good friends should be) is lovely to receive and they may even throw in some good ideas, good vibes at minimum.

and if you cant wrap your head around some part of your book aka you have blockade, maybe its for the best to ditch that idea and try to switch it a bit! some ideas are just not perfect for that part of the story!
most importantly, enjoy that process! write stories that keep that fire in you! and don’t give up 🩷

- It's important to plan your story, not necessarily from start to finish, but having the details of your characters, your world, and your plot is important before you start.
- Set up a main conflict that the story is going to focus on.
- Decide on the genre and the narrator. It may be obvious, but it's important to remember.
- Create music playlists, Pinterest folders, or watch movies, whatever works for you to inspire you and have references.
- Don't force yourself to write. While it's important to move forward in the story, forcing yourself to put a word on the page isn't going to help you. Find the best times of the day to do it. Have a cup of tea, put on some music, and go with the flow.
- Don't stop to edit before finishing your story. This will end up delaying you in the writing process and pausing your ideas. Once the story is completed, you'll have time to correct everything you want.
- Write down your ideas, even the smallest ones.
