Enjoy, guys!
I am super happy that my library has this on Hoopla as an audio book! I might miss more than I want to, but hopefully I will be able to follow along with you all.

My library has it on audiobook while I wait for my copy to arrive in the mail (I'm definitely a physical book kinda girl).

I’ll be starting this book soon. I read it about a year ago and really struggled to get anywhere with it. (I thought it was longer ago than that). It kinda went over my head. I’m hoping to enjoy it more this time.

I also don't trust certain people at the moment...
Hope that's all ok to comment on at this point. Anyone else read the first chapter yet?
I gave up, guys. I am just not a sci-fi girl.🤷♀️ I got about 23% of the way through, and I just didn’t care, so I stopped. I hope you all enjoy it! It seemed like it had a good MC and a good plotline developing, so if you like sci-fi, you will probably like it. I just couldn’t get into. It’s just not my genre.

@Angela—there are SOOOO many other books to read! The length of my tbr is one reason I felt ok about giving up.

I have definitely been there!
I'm a little more than halfway through and really enjoying it so far. I'm curious if anyone else started it yet?

I’ve read the first page! 😃✋🏼
lol. I’m wanting to get that started/read here in the next couple days and I just keep forgetting.

The imagination and still realistic approach to this story... Blows my mind.
I have often wondered if intelligent life exists on other olanets, but why I end up at "no" is because of sin. Did sin infect those other planets when Eve ate the fruit? I assume yes, well then did Jesis' life death and resurrection also apply to those planets? I .... Dunno.
This book answers those questions for me. I know, its wild, and a lot to claim, and I don't want to spoil anything, but the way I interpreted certain explanations just made a lot *click for me.
Of course I don't take this as seriously as the Bible and still would say there is not sentient life on other planets. But MAN is it fun to think about how it might be possible!!

There actually is life on other planets, and we know it, because we put it there (bacteria is life, and its on the mars rover).
But life out there in the universe...I am waiting for the proof not the speculation.

But if we want to go down all rhose rabbit trails we can but maybe in the debates thread?

Which is to say, if there are zaxians out there, and I will never meet them, why include them in the things you say on earth.

🤩👏👏👏 I was surprised how normal the first chapter was, considering its a sci fi 😂

Yeah. It just felt like I was reading a classic. Which it probably is, isn't it? I really need to read the second chapter, but I've been reading more interesting things. I'm not far enough into the book to be invested in it yet.
Are you excited about this one??
Are you enjoying the story? Finding it well-paced or slow?
What do you think of the characters?
Are you confused about anything?
Enjoy guys! 😊
