Kat Medina | 43 comments What are your favorite books and why?

I'll start!

Harry Potter series. This was probably the first book that really got me into reading. I love that it compels the imagination to transport me to a different world, one of connection and possibility.
Eat Pray Love. I first started solo traveling at the age of 17 and so many people over the years judged me for it (especially considering I would do solo trips as a married woman). This book spoke to that adventurous part of me and reminded me that it doesn’t matter what others think. All I must do in this life is listen and act on what my heart calls me to do. Elizabeth Gilbert perfectly describes this feeling and all that is involved in solo travel.

Sophie 💜 | 1 comments The Caraval series, as a writer, opened my eyes to the possibilities of world-building and magic, and it’s so well-written, had me hooked from the beginning. The Little Thieves trilogy is also one that changed my life, the main character is sassy and authentic, no Mary Sue hints in sight, and the romance came out of nowhere, hit me in the face, and I fell in love. Also I’m a Percy Jackson, Harry Potter, and hunger games fan to a fault.

As a writer myself, I couldn't agree more!

Evelyn (evelyntheshadowsinger) | 30 comments Mine are simple but I love Fourth Wing and ACOMAF because of how well-written and complex the relationships between characters are and the interesting and intriguing plots that allow me to re-read these big books in just a few days/a day.

There are some books that I wish I could read for the first time over again. And some that are comfort reads, and I love those books that just make me feel at home

There are so many quotes that speak to me like,'"we accept the love we thing we deserve" Over all you get so attached to your main characters Charlie, Sam, and Patrick. LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE

noelle (cancelled!) | 31 comments I’d have to say American Royals (currently, it changes btw) because I like the drama (I swear I don’t love the drama, IT LOVES ME) and being serious the family learns how to be supportive and loving to each other after years of focusing on America.

**any Swiftie would love these books. They’re funny, sad and serious depending on the chapter. More importantly, Taylor Swift is found throughout the books, in lyrics, chapter titles, and the bolded words. It’s really awesome to see Taylor be this authors muse as he writes about his own relationships. It just shows how perfectly her lyrics can be applied to anyone’s dating struggles, past and present!

message 17: by Benji (new)

Benji | 25 comments Way of the Peaceful Warrior is my favorite book because it perfectly captures the balance I seek in life. It’s more than just a story—it’s a guide that intertwines life philosophy with personal growth. The book speaks to me on so many levels, blending ambition with inner peace and discipline with self-compassion.

It shows how true wisdom comes from navigating life’s challenges, which mirrors my own journey toward purpose and meaning. I find so much harmony in its lessons, as they align with the way I reflect on life, evolve through hardship, and strive for balance. It's a book that continues to shape how I view my own path.
