25.3: Tien's Task: Completing (other) reading challenges!

I'm struggling with these tasks but they are the last one of different sets which has been languishing in the corner so please help me finish these off

This is a two-book task. Please select one book from two different options.
Required: State the option

Option 1:
Read a book where the first word in title (excluding the words: the, a, an) OR author's initial (first or last) begins with I OR V

Option 2:
Read a book from:
laughter
Required: State the page.

Option 3:
Read a book from:
Best of 1920's
Required: State the page.

I'm just amazed that not only are you able to finish the SRC, but to juggle other challenges alongside it. I think my brain would melt if I tried!

the goal is to duplicate books as much as possible - I do a lot of Tien's challenges (and she's very devious) - I give each one its own shelf and then when I look for GR task books I go to them first

Tien (tiensblurb) | 2304 comments LOL I don't know why you keep calling me devious - there are many more creative challenge creators out there than me!

And yes, I agree with Dee, Jayne, the trick is to read the same book which qualify for multiple challenges at the same time. Sometimes, it doesn't quite work, hence, the leftover last book that need to be tackled, like these!

Robin P | 1609 comments The other problem for me is keeping track of the various challenges and taking the time to post them all, when different kinds of posts are needed for different groups!

That's where my spreadsheet comes in... so many tabs for different challenges lol

And yes, there are days where I'm wondering why I do this at all but there are more days that I couldn't stop updating and revising etc.

Michelle | 305 comments For option 1 - can we eliminate the word the or a in a title to get an I or V?

For example: The Inheritance Games
or
A Very Merry Bromance
