I've also been hearing mostly negative things about the book because of the ending and lack of plot, but I loved this personally. This is a series I'm mostly reading for the romance and not for the plot, so it didn't bother me that there weren't huge plot developments until the end. The banter and writing was *chef's kiss*

I was really surprised by this after what we learned about him & his powers in his novella. He has the potential to be a very important character, so I have a feeling Lauren Roberts will include him in the third book. There's no way she set all that up in his novella to do nothing else with his character . . . right? 😅
