E.B. Roshan | 24 comments Hello Eileen,

I’d love for you to read my latest romantic suspense novella. Here’s the description:

War brought Radoslav and Dunya together. If she hadn't become a refugee, and he hadn't taken a job as an interpreter at the camp she was sent to, they never would have met. Now, they're taking the first tentative steps toward a peaceful future for themselves and their adopted son. Settled in a fishing village far from the conflict zone, they have good reason to hope the worst of their troubles are behind them. They could not be more wrong...

Jeffer Nightwind | 32 comments Hello Eileen,

I recently released my first book in the Bane War series, https://www.amazon.com/Fury-Bane-War-...

Series theme is Heaven's angels, technological beings, waging eternal war against Navia's demons, magical beings. 5000 years ago they signed a peace treaty, but now wage war through proxies. Yava is the latest battleground.

Saffa is this book's protagonist, a sassy battlemage wielding a longsword while casting fire and ice magic.

The book takes inspiration from Slavic mythology and Ukraine's fight for freedom.

I had 3 women beta read and they gave mostly positive feedback, but now I'm trying to get more eyes and brains on the story. I'm eager to improve the dark fantasy and romance pieces, as I have at least six more books planned.

Genre is DESR (dark epic science romantasy). Content rating is MA.

If you are interested in reading, let me know via message or email to author@banewar.com, and I can get you a hardback, paperback, or .epub copy, whatever you want.

There's no rape in my book, but there is a non-sexual torture scene.

Blurb
Sadistic work coach James Burgess has finally bagged his dream job after three years of trying, two hundred miles from home in rural Gwynedd, north Wales. But with promotion firmly in mind, cutting the jobcentre's wage bill soon becomes his sport, at any cost, leaving a trail of chaos and hunger in his wake.

As house prices soar and job prospects dwindle, many of James' ''casualties of war'' wind up at Morywelon homeless hostel, where the waiting list is insatiable. Managing such a place takes gall, and Denise Groves' ten-year stint certainly took its psychological toll. But she's back for a second spell, to the job she loved and held since leaving school with no GCSEs.

The catch? Well, this time, their security guards have been laid off...

Denise fiercely defends residents against ignorant scorn the wider community assumes to inflict, so is held in the highest regard by most. But tough decisions must be made, and hell-raisers don't always leave when asked nicely...

Denise needs her support network more than ever, but it's fallen off a cliff. After a decade in the 'single lane', all best mate Jules wants is to set her up. Great, if only for Jules' dodgy choice of men. Seedy, serial cockney scammer Rick is her latest, and has a few turbulent potential answers for Denise's 'problem'.

Jenn Rizzoto | 41 comments Hi, I'm currently looking for reviewers for this book:

Two Novellas

Two life-affirming stories of ordinary people in extraordinary situations.

The Golden Flyswatter takes us to a retro dive bar in Santa Monica, California, where young Natalie Schoenfeldt, an ingenue from Wisconsin, gets a job cocktailing. She soon realizes that the patrons are not who they seem, and Hollywood opportunities may not be either.

The Walk of Washington takes us to present-day Philadelphia, where a young filmmaker is playing piano to pay the rent. When he meets an older gentleman who looks a lot like Benjamin Franklin, the most excellent adventure of his young adult life begins.
