LaurLa wrote: "Ah... okay - Laura didn't finish her book, so we'll hold on the new clown until she's done."Give me 2 days! I have to finish one so the library doesn't repossess it, but then I can squeeze in this one.
LaurLa wrote: "I've finished my Joker books and updated the SS."Looks like Louise has one left and I have two. I have a ton of library audios right now, but what's a few more, right? So I checked out two Stephanie Plum books, which will finish of this clown for me. I just need to finish The Count of Monte Cristo today/tomorrow morning, then I have one more audio (The Knight and the Moth) to listen to before the library repossesses it. Then I should be able to knock these out quickly. (They are only 7 hours each!)
I finished one of my last 2 books, but I forgot how much I really despise Stephanie Plum. So I need a palate cleanser or 2 before I do the last one. :)
Ugh - on one hand, I'm glad to hear you say that because I lost my taste for Stephanie Plum a while ago! On the other hand, I'm sorry you feel stuck having to read another one... maybe you can find something else in the meantime that will work?
LaurLa wrote: "Ugh - on one hand, I'm glad to hear you say that because I lost my taste for Stephanie Plum a while ago! It's the color cover task, so I don't really want to start over trying to find something for that task. I'll see how I feel about it tomorrow.

This one, #26, gave me the same feeling that maybe things would change going forward. So I might read one more at some point.
Finished and checked us in. However, it has been a little over a week since we checked in our last ghost in Ghostbusters, so Donna may be trying to end these long ongoing challenges.
I was wondering that as well but the ghostbusters, at least, was listed in the TCF newsletter as an on-going challenge. And she's responded to Q&A to another player about continuing on their own, so she's probably just been busy for a few days.

Sorry guys. It's been a rough couple of weeks. My household has been dealing with hospitalizations, injuries, and sicknesses. You have as much time as you want to finish this challenge. It isn't going anywhere ; )

I think I have one more. I had 2 books picked out for the task and one fits into this round of Turf Wars, so I’ll be done by the end of the round.
Ribcage

Ribcage is a supernatural killer clown. He targets his victims by sending them a balloon marked with the dates of their impending death dates & times. He appears emaciated and skeletal with a gaunt face and hollow eyes.

Arm 2: Read a chain of 3 books tagged Psychological
Leg 1: Read a chain of 3 books with all the letters of SKELETAL in the title/series
Leg 2: Read a chain of 3 books with the author's initials in DREAMS

Our spreadsheet isn't accepting Ribcage Arm 1 or Leg 2 in the Clown Task column. I left a note for Donna in the Q&A.
I found a few on this list that were already on my TBR. Including a 6 hour Non-fiction that has the audio on Libby!https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/7...

- on KU, has a 9 in the page count, and Yellow writing on cover. I'll probably read this one really quick. And the audio is included with the KU check-out.
I found this one! woo hoo! Good page count but I have to check what else it works for.Party Night on Union Station
Letting you know I'm kind of moving slow with these - especially if I can't use Psychology for Psychological. My books are all 'planned' for the month but if they don't work with the TW rounds... well, you know how it goes!
LaurLa wrote: "Letting you know I'm kind of moving slow with these - especially if I can't use Psychology for Psychological. My books are all 'planned' for the month but if they don't work with the TW rounds... w..."Donna said she would take Psychology.
I got lucky on that one. I was reading Where the Crawdads Sing off of the list for Turf Wars and it worked there.
I think I've finally found one for Skeletal. And it works for Sous for TW. Here's hoping my library hold comes in for that one soon.
Laura wrote: "I think I've finally found one for Skeletal."I was surprised how quickly I found one for that - lucked out I guess with Wreck the Halls!

Good find there!

When someone reads 2 for a task, it doesn't always have to be an even exchange. :)
LaurLa wrote: "Nothing is lining up well with TW. I'll get there."That's fine. Just offering it if you need it, since I already read it and was noticed the Psychology while checking to see if by some miracle it fit GOTM. :)
I messed up. I thought I had a replacement for my Skeletal book but turns out I missed a letter. I'm starting my balloon book this weekend. If you guys don't want to keep waiting on me, then I'll take you up on the Psychology book you offered Laura.
