LOL, don't know. Why do you join my challenge? Use Talpa. It will help. I gave it to you for a reason.

message 104: by LaurLa (new)

LaurLa | 380 comments Here we go. It wasn't horrible.
Snowfire: A heartwarming romance set in Iceland

It's 2.99 but I can always send it to you if either of you are interested.

Also, this #2 from Obedient series is set in Iceland as well. It's been 2 years since I read it, so don't remember if you need to have read #1 in order not to be totally lost, but it's an option.
Suspiciously Obedient

Because it's a challenge! and we may cry and wail when we get a hard task but then our juices start flowing and we accept the challenge and go find the book 🤣😁

LOL! Check out Talpa. I think you will be pleasantly surprised at this sweet little tool. Just something else to have when looking for books for challenges. It isn't perfect but it sure is nice.

Laura | 166 comments I’ll stick with my audio. I’ve been doing DoorDash deliveries lately, so having an audio is a good thing.

message 108: by Louise (new)

Louise | 73 comments Found an Iceland book on audio

message 109: by LaurLa (new)

LaurLa | 380 comments I'm going with this one... It has good default pp for TW and meets the TART requirement, so that's a plus! I can get it for .99 or see if our friend in the dungeon has.

Louise | 73 comments I do love an Icelandic thriller. Other than my Iceland book my others were already planned for this week 🎉🎉🎉

message 112: by Laura (new)

Laura | 166 comments We're going through this one pretty quickly. Looks like we each just have 1 more book. I've got a question in hoping I can make my Bingo dragon book fit for the house on cover.

message 113: by LaurLa (new)

LaurLa | 380 comments Yes, but mine is at the bottom of the list right now...

message 114: by Laura (new)

Laura | 166 comments My castle on the cover works for a house, so I should be done with mine by the end of the weekend.

message 115: by Louise (new)

Louise | 73 comments I should have my last book tomorrow :)

message 116: by Laura (new)

Laura | 166 comments I finished my house book.

message 117: by LaurLa (new)

LaurLa | 380 comments Sorry you guys were waiting on me. I'm done and checked us in.

Stitches
description
Stitches is a birthday clown who is late to a birthday party, where he was hired to entertain some 10-year-olds. One of the children ties his shoelaces together in a prank leading to his death. A group of clowns use his clown egg to perform a ritual resulting in Stitches returning to life six years later. He is determined to exact revenge on the teenagers who contributed to his death.

Complete the following tasks
Arm 1: Read a chain of 3 books with 10 intact in the page count (example 210 pages or 108 pages)
Arm 2: Read a chain of 3 books with a teenage MC
Leg 1: Read a chain of 3 books where someone celebrates a birthday
Leg 2: Read a chain of 3 books with the author's initials in STITCHES

message 119: by Laura (new)

Laura | 166 comments I've picked out 3 of my books, but Amazon's Search feature has not been working very well lately. So I'll read and hope to encounter a birthday soon. :)

message 120: by LaurLa (new)

LaurLa | 380 comments Laura - do you happen to have a second teenager that you could trade me for birthday?

message 121: by Laura (new)

Laura | 166 comments I sure do!

message 122: by LaurLa (new)

LaurLa | 380 comments Awesome! Thanks! So you'll do 2 Arm 2s and I'll do 2 Leg 1s.

Let us know if you need to swap something like LaurLa and I did. I'm sure we can arrange it. :)

Just checking in to see how this team is moving forward. Several teams are making changes in December. Some are planning to stop playing once the competitive challenge ends. Others are playing individually or in pairs (one person quits).
https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
Just let me know if you are making any team changes.

message 127: by Laura (new)

Laura | 166 comments I'm okay to keep playing at our current pace if you ladies want to. But if anyone wants to stop because of the busy season ahead, I get that as well and I'm okay either way.

message 128: by LaurLa (new)

LaurLa | 380 comments I'm fine continuing as long as we all want. I like our relaxed pace :-)

message 129: by Louise (new)

Louise | 73 comments I’m fine continuing

message 130: by Louise (new)

Louise | 73 comments I should have A Killing in Kenya done tomorrow

message 131: by Laura (new)

Laura | 166 comments No worries. LaurLa still has another birthday to do.

LaurLa, my second teenager book actually had a birthday celebrated, so if you want to take the teenager task back for any reason, we’re good.

message 132: by LaurLa (new)

LaurLa | 380 comments No teenagers in my life right now, unfortunately. I'm working on my birthday book and should be done today.

message 133: by LaurLa (new)

LaurLa | 380 comments Well, more like tonight...

message 134: by LaurLa (new)

LaurLa | 380 comments I'm done and updated SS.

message 135: by Laura (new)

Laura | 166 comments LaurLa, have you seen Louise post anywhere in the last week or so? I get concerned when online friends disappear!

message 136: by LaurLa (new)

LaurLa | 380 comments Sorry - I sort of disappeared for a couple days too. No, I haven't actually seen her post but looking at her profile page, she was active posting on Dec 3 for Wheels.

message 137: by Laura (new)

Laura | 166 comments Good!

message 138: by Laura (new)

Laura | 166 comments Louise, how is your last book for this one coming?

message 139: by Louise (new)

Louise | 73 comments Updated the spreadsheet with my book, just catching up on updates I need to do

message 140: by Laura (new)

Art
description
Art is a demonic killer clown who is mute and mimes. He only appears on Halloween nights to wreak havoc and torture. He appears in all black & white carrying a black trash bag with various crude weapons. His face is painted pale white, while his eyes, mouth, and eyebrows are painted black. He wears a white bald cap on his head, complete with a small black hat strapped to the top.

Art is extremely dangerous. He slaughters nearly everyone he encounters. He has supernatural abilities and can induce paralyzing fear in his victims. He will chase, stalk, and terrorize his victims. Then he decides whether to sadistically mutilate them or spare their lives, leaving them with the trauma he has inflicted on them. He never speaks but he will mime screams of pain when injured. Art is very theatrical while killing in a very animated and comedic manner. He silently laughs during his sadistic pursuits. When cornered, he does exhibit cowardly tendencies. He will cheat or shoot himself rather than deal with the police. His arrogance does tend to crumble when the odds shift and victims fight back.

Complete the following tasks
Arm 1: Read a chain of 3 books with white covers (minimum 50%)
Arm 2: Read a chain of 3 books with a hat (or more) on the cover
Leg 1: Read a chain of 3 books that start with a letter in ART (team must choose one letter)
Leg 2: Read a chain of 3 books with characters with supernatural abilities

message 142: by Laura (new)

Laura | 166 comments I’m good for any of the letters in ART. Any preferences for which we choose?

message 143: by LaurLa (new)

LaurLa | 380 comments I have the most options for T but I can actually do any letter.

message 144: by Louise (new)

Louise | 73 comments I have 3 audios downloaded that begin with T

message 145: by Laura (new)

Laura | 166 comments T it is then!

message 146: by Laura (new)

Laura | 166 comments I found books for everything but the hat. I'm sure I'll come across one naturally, right?

Just kidding. I'm checking in the Q&A, though, to see if a knight's helmet, or a hoodie with the hood up will work.

message 147: by LaurLa (new)

LaurLa | 380 comments I've got mine on the spreadsheet. I've finished one but the white cover might take me a minute or two to get to. Although it starts with O and I need that in a few places this month.

That's a no on both of my hat ideas. So it'll be a minute or two (to quote LaurLa) before I get the hat done.

message 149: by LaurLa (new)

LaurLa | 380 comments I'll trade you a Hat for a Judge.... 🤣

Guess that won't work. I have a couple of books with hats, so let me know if you want to trade something here.

Let me see what comes up in my White Elephant tasks. I may get to a hat sooner than expected.
