Drace (dracenines) | 7451 comments A new horror novel from an author named Alex Gonzalez was recently announced, and when I went to the book page to add it, I noticed that his books were mistakenly assigned to an author named Álex González (note the accent marks). This author page has a bunch of completely unrelated books on it, so a new author page for Alex Gonzalez the horror author needs to be created, and the following books and magazine need to be moved to the new page:

Land Shark: https://www.goodreads.com/work/editio...

rekt: hhttps://www.goodreads.com/work/editio...

We’re Infested: https://www.goodreads.com/work/editio...

Morpheus Tales: The Best Weird Fiction Vol. 4: https://www.goodreads.com/work/editio...

Morpheus Tales Magazine #13: https://www.goodreads.com/work/editio...

If you need text for an author bio, I can copy/paste what's listed on the "About the Author" section for his books on Amazon.

Drace (dracenines) | 7451 comments Thanks so much for the help. The author does have a non-author Goodreads profile, so as I understand it it's up to him whether or not to claim his author page?

Yes, that's up to him. When an author creates an account on Goodreads, the system doesn't automatically recognize them as an author; they are treated as regular users. He needs to click the "Is this you? Let us know." link on the profile, fill out the application form, and get approved by Goodreads. Librarians have no involvement in that process. It's also worth noting that not all authors choose to claim their profiles.
