Book I’ve read but can’t recall the name

I’m looking for a book where a woman moves to a new locale and meets a guy. They both have dogs and their dogs fall in love with each other and add a humorous line to the book. I think a neighbor is named Miles and the female lead may be Abby. At the end her dog runs to him to let him know she’s in danger and he gets there in time to save her. I read it not too long ago but can’t recall the title or author. I thought it was a Nora Robert’s book.l but I’ve looked at her booklist and nothing matches. Does anyone have a suggestion of what book it is? I’d love to reread it.
