Sweet Tooth

description

Marcus "Needles" Kane, commonly known as Sweet Tooth, originally appeared in the Twisted Metal video games series before making his debut on the Twisted Metal television series. He wears a clown mask and carries a machete. He is notably missing his trademark flaming hair for most of the series, although it does appear at one point.

Sweet Tooth escaped from the Blackfield Asylum when the apocalypse started. He settled in Lost Vegas with his best friend Harold, an inanimate paper lunch bag. He rides around in an ice cream truck and rides around the city as a notorious serial killer feared by many. He is psychopathic while having a sense of humor. He likes to perform but expects total honesty from the crowd. He will murder those who betray or cross him.

Complete the following tasks
Arm 1: Read a chain of 3 books set during an apocalypse
Arm 2: Read a chain of 3 books with ice cream on the cover
Leg 1: Read a chain of 3 books tagged humor
Leg 2: Read a chain of 3 books with a flame on the cover

Shaw | 716 comments I’ve got books for all but ice cream on cover so I’ll find one for that hopefully soon.

message 307: by Carrie (new)

Carrie (carriele1216) | 1213 comments I feel like this set is a tough one. What are you reading for apocalypse one?

message 308: by Shaw (new)

Shaw | 716 comments Lost Valley (Extinction Survival #1) by Walt Browning Apparently it's part of a apocalypse series and I've read the related Extinction Cycle series and loved it.

message 309: by Upton (new)

Upton | 1009 comments I read that series as well. I will have to check your book out.

message 310: by Shaw (new)

Shaw | 716 comments I’ve completed my books now so let me know if y’all need any assistance.

message 311: by Carrie (new)

Carrie (carriele1216) | 1213 comments Shaw - if you have another one for an apocalypse you can have mine.

message 312: by Shaw (new)

Shaw | 716 comments As a matter of fact I was thinking of reading the second book after Lost Valley so I’ll start that tomorrow or the next day.

message 313: by Carrie (new)

Carrie (carriele1216) | 1213 comments Perfect! Thanks Shaw 😊

message 314: by Upton (new)

Upton | 1009 comments I am working on my last book in this group. I will try and move it along.

message 315: by Carrie (new)

Carrie (carriele1216) | 1213 comments I am still reading as well. I'll try to finish soon.

message 316: by Shaw (new)

Shaw | 716 comments Same - I got caught up finishing my last books for other challenges but I expect to finish in the next day or two.

message 317: by Upton (new)

Upton | 1009 comments No worries on my end!

message 318: by Upton (new)

Upton | 1009 comments Hey - just checking to see if anyone needs help finishing a task. Just let me know :)

message 319: by Shaw (new)

Shaw | 716 comments I did finish mine so I could help too if needed.

message 320: by Carrie (new)

Carrie (carriele1216) | 1213 comments I’ll be finishing my task up for the ice cream on the cover. Do either of you have something for the flame?

message 321: by Carrie (new)

Carrie (carriele1216) | 1213 comments Ice cream one is done. I'm going to look for a flame on cover in case neither of you have something 😊

message 322: by Shaw (new)

Shaw | 716 comments I do have one if you have trouble finding one.

message 323: by Upton (new)

Upton | 1009 comments I don't have anything, but I could likely find one. Unless Shaw has it covered.

message 324: by Shaw (new)

Shaw | 716 comments I can cover it if y’all want.

message 325: by Carrie (new)

Carrie (carriele1216) | 1213 comments I’d appreciate it. Thanks 😊

message 326: by Shaw (new)

Shaw | 716 comments K-I’ll start it today so it should only take me a day or two.

message 327: by Shaw (new)

Shaw | 716 comments Ok y'all I've checked us in for completion of Sweet Tooth and Jack is up next!

Jack
description
Jack is a demonic entity bound to a toy box. He uses the jack in the box as a vessel to claim souls. The cursed toy is both his prison and his method of hunting. Anyone who winds up the toy and releases him becomes his next target.
Jack's curse has a set of rules. He must claim six victims before he can return to his box. The person who opens the box is the final victim. He uses brutal violence and psychological manipulation to claim victims.
Jack is purely malevolent. He delights in the fear and suffering of his victims. He is patient and will slowly pursue his prey, appearing in & out of the box. He is cold & calculating each move, toying with victims and instilling them with fear before finally killing them.

Complete these tasks
Arm 1: Read a chain of 3 books where a character goes hunting
Arm 2: Read a chain of 3 books with a 6 in the page count
Leg 1: Read a chain of 3 books with a character under a curse in the story
Leg 2: Read a chain of 3 books with a toy on the cover

message 329: by Shaw (new)

Shaw | 716 comments I've got a book for hunting and a 6 but I'll have to look for one for curse and toy.
And BTW, I was searching in the Q&A for anyone clarifying the toys and I found a question about fruit as a dessert. And it was approved as such so apologies Carrie - those blueberries would have actually counted.

message 330: by Carrie (new)

Carrie (carriele1216) | 1213 comments Thanks Shaw for finishing that book. I appreciate it! No worries about the blueberries - I never even thought to ask the question as to whether it would count.

Out of curiosity, can I ask your question about the toys? I think that one and the curse may be my tough ones this round. I don’t read a lot of fantasy and I feel the curse is definitely a fantasy type book. I’ll have to look around a bit.

message 331: by Shaw (new)

Shaw | 716 comments I was wondering how toy like the cover object needed to be - I was thinking of a cover with a helicopter which would be a toy but not in the context of that particular cover.

message 332: by Upton (new)

Upton | 1009 comments Thanks for checking us in Shaw.

I'll see what I can find lying around. I might have things for a cursed person.

message 333: by Shaw (new)

Shaw | 716 comments The curse one is a hard one for me but I did find one I haven’t read in my otherwise completed series so I’m goid there. And I’m going with a rocket ship as a toy cuz it does look toy like on the cover.

message 334: by Carrie (last edited Oct 04, 2025 02:49PM) (new)

Carrie (carriele1216) | 1213 comments I still need to find something for the cursed person but I think I have something. My other 3 are finished.

I used a magnifying glass/spy glass for my toy because I know they sell those bug kits with them for kids.

message 335: by Shaw (new)

Shaw | 716 comments That’s a good idea- that’s the only one I have left which I plan to finish soon.

message 336: by Shaw (new)

Shaw | 716 comments So it took a little longer to finish my book than planned so I’m working on my last book now. And I do have another one for curse if y’all need me to read for that.

message 337: by Carrie (new)

Carrie (carriele1216) | 1213 comments I may take you up on that but I'm not sure yet. The book I plan on reading next may have a cursed character. I'll let you know!

Any idea how many clowns this team has left?

message 339: by Shaw (new)

Shaw | 716 comments 7 not including our current one. So more like 7 1/2 I guess.

message 340: by Carrie (new)

Carrie (carriele1216) | 1213 comments My books for this round are finished. Our spreadsheet is a bit messed up.

I think we only need Christine's final book and this round is complete.

message 341: by Shaw (new)

Shaw | 716 comments Great! Christine- I do have a book that I’m currently reading that just happens to count for hunting if you want me to cover it.

message 342: by Upton (new)

Upton | 1009 comments That would be awesome. I'm having an issue with that one. Thank you.

message 343: by Shaw (new)

Shaw | 716 comments Upton wrote: "That would be awesome. I'm having an issue with that one. Thank you."

No worries - I just started it yesterday so I should be done on Saturday or Sunday morning.

message 344: by Shaw (new)

Shaw | 716 comments Ok ya'all we have completed Jack. We are all checked in and Violator is next.

Violator
description
The Violator is the demonic (& true) form of the Clown. His current disguise is that of the Clown, a 5'6 overweight, balding man with menacing face paint. He is the Spawn's mentor and one of the Phlebiac Brothers. He is a very powerful force with superhuman strength the equivalent of 15 strong men. He can breathe fire, shapeshift, possess others, and survive multiple types of attacks except for decapitation from an angel or hellspawn. He views humanity as weak and thinks that demons should lead the armies of Hell, not Spawn. He is determined to prove his superiority to his master. Since he can't kill them without an order, he weakens them by causing them to waste their powers. He has died many times and been reanimated by his master. After the death of the Spawn, Clown started to build his own army to bring down the kingdom of Heaven. He kills anyone who is aware of the Spawn's demise. He isn't "Clowning Around".

Complete the following Tasks
Arm 1: Read a chain of 3 books with demons
Arm 2: Read a chain of 3 books with angels
Leg 1: Read a chain of 3 books with a bald character
Leg 2: Read a chain of 3 books with all the letters of SPAWN in the title/series

message 346: by Upton (new)

Upton | 1009 comments Shaw wrote: "Ok ya'all we have completed Jack. We are all checked in and Violator is next."

Thanks again!

message 347: by Shaw (new)

Shaw | 716 comments I think the bald character one might be a little tricky but I’ve got books for the other tasks.

message 348: by Carrie (new)

Carrie (carriele1216) | 1213 comments Thanks Shaw!

I agree. The bald one is the most challenging!

message 349: by Shaw (new)

Shaw | 716 comments I’ve got a biography that works but that’s not really a character so I’m gonna keep looking for a better fit

message 350: by Carrie (new)

Carrie (carriele1216) | 1213 comments Do we think angels and demons have to be literal?

For example, could a murderer be considered a demon?
