TIA
ETA—I found one easily that did, so the question’s moot
I've been looking for an excuse to read The bastard and the heir. Do you want to plan a buddy read for that? I'm good with starting whenever. I have some hunt books i need to read so this set might take me a bit too.

(I was also looking for a bastard and heir excuse!)

So I’ll buddy Jackie with Stalker (I wondered about that but didn’t know if you read that series or needed to read in order) and Lisa with Bastard and Heir. Yay!
I think those are at the bottom of my list and I won’t get to them until next week, if that’s okay. I also need to run down Stalker and that might take a minute.

Also, do we ask Ashley to set them up for us?
Thanks for helping me work through this.
There is a place to request the buddy reads.

I could be ready to start on Saturday for ours. I can also wait if you and Jackie want to do your first.

I will suggest buddy reads for both--thanks for the link. Lisa, I'll plan to start ours Saturday or Sunday, and Jackie I'll wait for you to let me when to start Stalker.
The Laugh

"The Laugh" was a disturbed child with a twisted sense of humor and a fixation on causing pain to others. As an adult, he evolved into a deranged serial killer who stalked and captured his former classmates. He uses elaborate, themed traps and mind games to capture and torment 3 women from his past. He wants to relive the amusement he had as a child when terrified others. He thrives on fear and cruelty. His intelligence is shown through his carefully planned torture and traps. He often wears a mask or different disguises. His most iconic look is his exaggerated smile and wide eyes accompanying his maniacal laughter. He truly is a chilling clown.
Complete the following tasks
Arm 1: Read a chain of 3 books with all the letters of LAUGH in the title
Arm 2: Read a chain of 3 books tagged humor
Leg 1: Read a chain of 3 books that are #3 in any series
Leg 2: Read a chain of 3 books with a mask on the cover

Why is it that every time GR makes "improvements," we lose functionality?"
I am SO WITH YOU. I have gone through and made sure to click the "notify me" box, but I really counted on the emails for my active challenges.
Kirsten, I'm borrowing two of your books. Why Did the Alien Cross the Galaxy? To Find a Fake Boyfriend and Befriend a Vacuum Cleaner and Forgotten Romance.
Buddy read? I can start anytime Sunday or later. I'm finishing my last hunt book on Saturday.

I'm probably about that too, but I'll have to pick 3 or 4 since we ca't do half stars. When Travis showed up on planet, it was a bit weird. I'm waiting to read the epilogue so we can have some discussion once the actual BR link is available.
When do you want to start Forgotten Romance?
When do you want to start Forgotten Romance?

I can start and probably finish Forgotten Romance tomorrow. I'll be done by Wednesday for sure. Or I can push it back if you'd rather.
Could we start on Wednesday? I have 2 books I committed to TW that I haven't gotten to yet. I might be able to move one since I'm only using for Spellout once we get the next set of tasks. But the other is .03 book.
If we don't have the BR thread today, let's just finish it anyway. I added to TW too so want to make sure I get it done.

Horny

Archie Benjamin played Horny the Clown at his family's restaurant. This caused him to get picked on a lot by his peers. On his birthday, they played a prank which caused the restaurant to catch on fire resulting in his death. Four years later, Archie comes back from the dead to get his revenge. He is a demonic version of Horny the Clown.
Complete the following tasks
Arm 1: Read a chain of 3 books with fire on the cover
Arm 2: Read a chain of 3 books that are book 4 in any series
Leg 1: Read a chain of 3 books that start with a letter in HORNY (the team must choose one letter)
Leg 2: Read a chain of 3 books with the author's initials in ARCHIE

Kirsten, I requested a buddy read for Perfectly Perplexing Zombie. It fits for Arm 2 since its #4 in the series. I probably won't be ready to read until Sunday since I want to use for Wheel because of the pages.
I have an R Book with 536 Pages.
I can find others, but nothing else in my next schedule set matches the other letters.

I can totally work with R. We should try to do a buddy read—either you or me or one of us with Jackie.
My R is Rookie Mistake by Anna Zabo
It's hockey, but I assume you've read it. Also something I'm waiting til Wheel.
reading lower pages right now and newer releases so I can read longer books and get the pub bonus pts (5 if older than 2 years).

Rankings just came out and we are in second, by like 4 points. I don't think we can catch #1 (833 pts vs 308),
Ultimately I just don't want to be last. :)

My plans:
Arm 1: Read a chain of 3 books with fire on the cover: These Violent Delights
Arm 2: Read a chain of 3 books that are book 4 in any series: Perfectly Perplexing Zombie: Wendall's Story (BR with Lisa)
Leg 1: Read a chain of 3 books that start with a letter in HORNY (the team must choose one letter)--I was so torn, because I loved Rookie Move (4stars!), but I want more Saga: The Rabbit Hunter (BR with Jackie)
Leg 2: Read a chain of 3 books with the author's initials in ARCHIE: Jackal
I'm guessing no for other buddy readings--These Violent Delights is a Shakespeare retelling in 1920s Shanghai and the Jackal is horror thriller, so let me know if you're interested. Both have been on my tbr for ages, and Jackal is working for AA.
Jackie, I'll request our buddy thread, and I also don't plan to start any of these until TW at least, and only Jackal if it fits.
ETA: I am loving these buddy reads for extra points--it's been really fun reading with y'all. This has made this challenge really work.
