So I have this bestie (we’ll call her P) and she texted me last night and told me she had her first kiss and I’m the first person she told and I’m really happy for her and all but also like I want that too? She has a boyfriend and they’ve been dating for like a year-ish. And I’ve never dated anyone. I have a crush on one of my friends but the issue is they’re a girl so I’m like ummmmmmmmmm. And now I’m jealous bc P has a boyfriend and had her first kiss and I’m just here like ‘God, would it be easier if I were straight?’ And like I like dudes as well but also they’re all kinda jerks rn and none of them like me anyways probably bc I don’t take the time to do my hair or makeup everyday. And P seems like she’s like so perfect. She gets all A’s and she’s pretty and she plays JV soccer and she’s a fast runner and she has a boyfriend. And I’m over here getting C’s and D’s and I’m not pretty and I don’t play sports and I’m definitely not athletic and I’m single. So now I’m sad.

I relate to the first part im 18 and have never had a bf or whatever. and not that I need one but I want to have that connection with someone yk. "they're kinda jerks" is so real. there isn't anything wrong with being bi. I think it's hard just in general. but you shouldn't compare yourself to your friend just makes you feel worse.

Honestly crushes are so much fun!! I totally understand the whole point of being happy for your friend but also bitter and jealous, she seems like she’s one of those people that’s kinda got everything but yk she’s not you! And there’s no point in being jealous if you can’t change her- you have to change yourself if that’s what your not happy about- if you want to be good at sport, go try something new, or study for better grades. With the whole it’s easier being straight, it might be for your school/ area but also try see if your crush is interested in u, like give hints and stuff and flirt- that’s the BEST part and it gives school or hanging out something to look forward to. I love getting ready for school when I know I have a class with my crush, ah it’s fun. Try look at positives in life because there will always be something good to smile about! 🩷🩷🩷🩷
