So I'm into the badass, smart, takes-nobody's-bullshit-including-the-male-lead's kind of female Leads. I don't like the soft kind. Or the meek kind. The tougher the better. Better yet, she's a girly girl with a spine of steel and not a doormat.

For male leads I kinda gravitate towards the bad boys, the villains who would destroy the world if their girl is not in it. But there's a catch, I hate abusive male leads. It gets a bit complicated here cuz like villainous male leads but they also have to be super soft for the girl and like, kind of green flags? I can't accept them treating the girl badly. I love it when he forces her to marry him or something equally unhinged because he's obsessed with her, that kind of toxic I don't mind.

While villains are my fave kind of male leads, I also like the green flag and respectful ones. I just hate the assholes, basically

I also can't handle the very popular rake/virgin trope BTW. Like, if the FL is a virgin, he needs to be one too or else I'm out. I'm mostly not into manwhores, I suppose. And cheating heroes are definitely a no-no. Along with non-consent.

True tho 😭 that kind of male lead is like a needle in a haystack… quite literally. I love some good villainy in my male leads, but so few books strike that perfect balance of “dangerously alluring” and “forever servitude for the girl”
