DxC danmei recs?

Hello! Sorry if I'm doing this wrong, this is my first time in a Goodreads group. I was wondering if anyone knows of any danmei that's a detective x criminal trope? It's one of my favorite tropes and I'd greatly appreciate it if someone could help me out! Also, are there any others that are kind of like TGCF where there's a smitten and devoted love interest? Those kinds of novels always make me giddy. Whenever Hua Cheng comes up my heart practically explodes

How about “Guardian” by Priest? There is an urban, supernatural bureau solving crimes. There is, however, also a great deal of mythology.

I’ve heard that “Peerless” by Meng Xi Shi also solves crimes, but haven’t read it yet. Seven Sea just released volume 1 so you can check out reviews by others if you are interested.

The only books I’ve read that were in the crime/thriller/mystery genre are:

In the Dark by Jin Shisi Chai
Silent Reading by Priest
Kaleidoscope of Death by Xi Zi Zu
First-Class Lawyer by Mu Su Li

Breaking Through the Clouds might be something you would like but I haven't read it so I have no idea if it's any good :)

I haven't read any detective/criminal works, but the smitten and devoted love interest is in quite a few danmei I've read! MXTX's other two works, Scum Villain and MDZS, both have pretty devoted love interests (though I think MDZS is more of the flavor you're looking for.) If you want something more comedic with a doting love interest, The Disabled Tyrant's Beloved Pet Fish has two volumes out right now. I'm in the midst of the second volume and the love interest is making a lot of grand gestures for the MC.
