Meredith is struggling a bit. She is on her way to Martha's Vineyard, her grandparents' home and her own family's annual retreat full of great memories hanging with her sister and cousins. But it is the first time she has returned since the unexpected death of her beloved sister. Also high school boyfriend that she clung to in response to her grief, broke up with her on graduation and two weeks before he was supposed to be her plus one for her cousin's wedding on the vineyard. The wedding week is full of wedding planning, assassin strategy and game planning and a new crush on her cousin's finance's stepbrother but also a new wave of sad memories and missing her sister as she tries to determine how to move forward with out the boyfriend crutch and starting college.

The descriptions of Martha's Vineyard are amazing and I really wish I was with them waiting for pie and swimming. The Assassin game is hilarious and I love how far the family takes it. I appreciate how Meredith tries to figure out how to move forward and acknowledge that she has been "that girl" who ditches all her friends for a boy even if it was part of coping with her grief. The romance was nice but also leaned toward obnoxiousness with that teen obsession and yet again ditching her friends and cousins. It was cute but I could have done with more family and assassin and a little less swooning.
