Danika (Dani) Brown is relationship averse although she certainly likes a bit of a romp. At the college where she teaches, Dani passes by the handsome security guard, Zafir, daily and the two have a nodding friendship. One day a fire drill strands Dani in an elevator and Zafir comes to the rescue. A photo of him carrying her out of the building goes viral and a romance is assumed. Zafir sponsors a sports charity for kids and the couple's photo brings a great deal of publicity to the worthy cause. Dani and Zafir agree to pretend to be involved in order to keep the publicity rolling on his charity. It's not difficult to figure out the rest of the story.

While reading this book, it reminded me of another I had read a few years ago. Turns out it was the first in the series and I swore after that one I would never read another. If possible, this one was worse than the first one. Did you ever read a book that made you blush while reading? I did this one on audio and that made it extremely excruciating. No, I don't like romance but I certainly don't like explicit sex scenes. Never, never again!!

Yeah, I read this recently. I gave it more stars than you did, but I don't plan to read more of the series. I read it as an ebook, and I agree, having sex scenes in audiobooks can feel weird because the narrator is another person in the room.
