Roleplay Rules:

1. Please type in complete sentences with proper grammar and punctuation. Roleplays are to be conducted in the third person.
2. No god-modding! Your characters (probably) cannot read minds and should not act with any knowledge or abilities beyond what a normal person possesses.
3. Do not make major decisions without consulting your roleplay partner, or the moderators if it does not involve another member. Such as, do not kill another character without permission from the roleplayer or give your character unrealistic powers and abilities without asking first.
4. Use brackets such as (), {}, and [] in a roleplay topic when speaking out of character.
5. Please do not interfere in an active roleplay without permission from those engaged.
6. If a roleplay thread has been inactive for a week, you may start a roleplay there.
7. Characters may only be in one roleplay at a time.

Roleplaying Guide:

This is a guide to roleplaying in this group and how roleplaying works in general. If you’re struggling with writing a history for your character or are unsure of how they’d have grown up, this roleplay guide also helps with that.

While there is no rule on the amount that you need to write, it would be preferable if you could write at least three sentences in your roleplay response. We want you to write enough for your partner to have something solid to respond to. Try to include thoughts, actions, and words! The more detail you can give to an rp partner, the more they will be able to give back to you.

A character’s history depends on their age and experience as a demigod. How old was your character when they learned of their godly heritage, started developing their powers, and made their way to camp? What did they do in their life before camp? What have they accomplished since arriving at Camp Half-Blood? You can build in intricacies involving the character’s relationship to both their godly and mortal parent, as well as any extended mortal family they may have. Consider how the character’s powers have developed and how they have come into play in their life.

An interesting and well-rounded character will have both strengths and weaknesses. Be sure to consider both a character’s powers and their weak points while you are creating and roleplaying a character. For example, maybe a child of Zeus has the ability to fly but an extreme fear of heights that they need to overcome. Maybe your character is very weak in terms of powers, but they are incredibly fast and agile.

The first thing to keep in mind when roleplaying in this group is that the roleplay will be conducted using characters of your own creation, and written in third person using complete sentences. Your character must be submitted and approved before you can do so, however.

If a topic has been inactive with no roleplay posts for one week, it is then considered open for a new roleplay to begin within. Please ask before starting a roleplay in a topic if you are unsure of its current activity status. If a topic already has no roleplay posts, it is also considered open.
