This is one of my favourites in the series - the introduction to Sirius Black and Lupin, real details from the back-story of James and Lily’s death, and the three friends getting more competent at their magic. Plus I really really want a Time Turner. While there are increasingly dark elements, the book still has a lot of the light touch of a children’s book.
It’s fascinating to see some of the plot points that ate important in later novels starting to come in. So cleverly constructed.
