Oops! It's red and green. I don't know why I said black, sorry! His sweater is red and green :)

I should've had the sense to ask this during task review, but better late than never!
Re: option 4.1, if a book is on either of the black/white lists, presumably any edition of the book will work? For example, The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet's Nest is shown on the lists as
, but my copy is very much green

Haha! That's fine as long as it's on the list any edition is fine :)

Hi! Any kind of knife! However this book won't work because I can't see any part of the handle, sorry! :)

Please clarify Option 1, book 1. Must the book cover have BOTH colors OR any combination, including all red or all green?
Amazingly, I just went through my TBR of about 1150 titles and found ZERO that had 75% red and green! The highest I found was one about 72%. Often when I thought I found one, Tineye would say the part I thought was red was brown; sometimes when I thought there was some green, Tineye said it was grey!
I realize there are other options to choose from, but I just wanted to share what I discovered. Or maybe it's a problem with my computer and the way Tineye works?

Hi! It would need to have BOTH red and green but like it can have 74% red and 1% green as long as it adds up to 75% total.
I noticed that too, or it would say it's pink or orange. Or yellow instead of green. Starting to make me think I'm color blind lol

Does the match fit ONLY if a first name (forename)? Or can we also match middle and last (surname) names?
Kathy KS wrote: "Another, this time Option 3, book2:

I would say if the last name that's fine, not middle names :)

Would The Rule of One work? The two main characters are on the run to Canada from Texas for most of the book. Most nights on that trek they must sleep outdoors, sometimes with supplies, sometimes not.
Would that count as camping?

how camping does the camping book have to be? ie. does it being mentioned sent to summer camp work - like Sunny Song Will Never Be Famous or That Summer Feeling

It has to be a camping setting, if it takes place at a summer camp or they are camping then it counts.
If it's just mentioned in passing or they're telling a story of camp, or of the sort, it would not work.

I am SO excited that I got to create a task for the Fall reading challenge because my absolute favorite holiday is during fall... Halloween! I am a horror fanatic, a gore whore, a scream queen if you will and my favorite horror subgenre is slashers. I love campy movies and I love gore. Scary right?
Optional: Watch the horror movie for the option you pick
And even better if at least one of the books is horror! Not required of course.
This is a two book task- Pick one option and read two books from that option. Combined pages must equal 500 pages or more.
Required: State which option you chose when you post. If you watched the movie that goes with the option let me know what you thought of it.
Option 1:Freddy Krueger from Nightmare on Elm Street
Book 1. Freddy's sweater is red and green striped. Read a book whose cover is at least 75% red and green (Any combination as long as it adds up to 75%) according to Tineye
Required: Post the cover.
and
Book 2. In Nightmare on Elm Street Freddy kills people in their dreams. Read a book with sleep or dream intact in the title. Sleeping, sleepy, dreaming, dreams, etc are fine as long as sleep or dream is intact.
Option 2: Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th
Book 1. Friday the 13th is set at Camp Crystal Lake, Jason was a camper who was killed during Summer camp. Read a book in a camping setting, at a campsite, or a cabin in the woods.
Required: If the setting is not evident from the description or the GR metadata, provide a reference.
and
Book 2. Jason's signature look is a hockey mask. Read a book with a hockey mask, stick, or any sports jersey on the cover.
Required: Post the cover.
Option 3:Chucky from Child's Play
Book 1. Chucky is a killer doll who is possessed by a dead mass murderer. Read a book with Doll intact in the title. Dolls, dollhouse, dolly, etc are okay as long as doll is intact.
and
Book 2. Chucky's full name is Charles Lee Ray. Read a book by an author whose name is a variant of Charles. Variants can be found on this website
https://www.behindthename.com/name/ch...
Female and Male variants are both accepted.
Option 4:Ghostface from Scream
Book 1. Ghostface's signature look is black robes with a black and white scream mask. Read a book of of one these lists:
A Book with a black and white cover
Books with Black and White Covers or Something Close
Required: State list and page
and
Book 2. Ghostface's weapon of choice is a buck knife. Read a book with a knife on the cover- Must be able to see part of both blade and handle
Required: Post the cover
Option 5: Michael Myers from Halloween
Book 1. Michael kills on Halloween night. Read a book with a MPG of Halloween.
and
Book 2. One of the most famous lines from Halloween is "He came home". Read a book by an author whose initials can be found in HE CAME HOME. Middle initials can be ignored, and letters can only be used as often as they appear.
