Recently I read the above noted title and noticed it's not yet in the Goodreads Library. Can someone add it, please? If anything is missing, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you!

An English version may not exist, given the age and origin in the socialist German time after the war. If so, I wasn't able to find it.

I will add the book data below, since there is no real book page online about it either.

"Ich erfülle meine Pflicht - das ist mein Standpunkt", erklärt sie den Jugendfreunden, mit denen sie auf einem Lehrgang zusammentrifft. Es will ihr gar nicht in den Kopf, dass sie sich noch mit politischen Fragen "belasten" soll. Genügt es denn nicht, eine gute Fachkraft zu sein? - Die Jugendfreunde vermögen sie nicht zu überzeugen. Ruth will die gut gemeinten Ratschläge nicht anhören, sie verlässt sogar Hals über Kopf die Schule.

Zurückgekehrt im Betrieb, gerät sie nun in Situationen, in denen ihr die Unkenntnis der gesellschaftlichen Zusammenhänge beinahe zum Verhängnis wird. Dadurch stellt Ruth der Schule, ihrer Jugendgruppe und besonders ihrem Freund eine Aufgabe, die alle in unerwartete Auseinandersetzungen hineintreibt.

Nach vielen Irrtümern, Missverständnissen und Fehlern gelingt es den Freunden, in Ruth die Erkenntnis zu wecken, dass ihre fachliche Qualifikation von gesellschaftlichen Wissen durchdrungen sein muss, damit sie ihr Fach voll beherrschen kann.

Der Autor hat diese Erzählung flüssig und lebendig gestaltet. Sie ist erfüllt von den erwartungsfrohen Leben junger Menschen, die ein Ziel haben.

Also, the cover you posted here seems to be from a more recent edition (1961?) and from other editorial. Moreover, this is not a valid cover source. Accepted sources are non vendor websites, except for Amazon or Abebooks.
