If you are looking for like psychopaths kind of dark i would recommend the legacy of gods series by rina kent. Of you are looking for like dark romance where the MCs go through super dark and traumatic things, i would recommend the edge of darkness series by Leigh Rivers. If you want more of that like mafia dark romance i recommend the perfectly imperfect series by Neva Altaj. If you want more like philosophical/ criminology thriller dark romance, I recently started hollows row series by Trisha wolfe. All of these have smut and I highly encourage you to read the trigger warnings/ reviews before starting them because they are not for the faint of heart.

one of the darkest books I have read is edge of darkness series by leigh rivers. One of my favorites and you can try L.O.R.D.S series which is very dark too. Also, Rina kent books are treats.
