I felt a tickle of annoyance at around 20% of the audiobook and thought I'd scour the reviews of which there were quite a mix. I kept going but I felt that a particular review that declared so many questions about the characters and their decisions and actions in this novel resound so deeply in me that in the end, I'm really quite annoyed both at myself and the book. And the narrator too, actually, not quite impressed with this one.

The opening was fairly interesting but after that, each character started to annoy me in little ways which in the end accumulated into a big mess. I guess that's how this author planned this plot? I believe this is a loose retelling of Cinderella x The Prince and The Pauper. The Best and Most Endearing character is a goat called dog. That's all, folks
