Would this be valid?

I'm looking at an Add request for an impatient member https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/... and I believe the book is only available as part of a boxed game set and not on it's own.
Am I right in thinking that would be invalid?
I've asked for confirmation of availability but doubt it's going to be positive.

According to the manual*, it would not be valid:
•   Rulebooks or sourcebooks sold as part of game kits
