General

• A problem we’ve seen a lot and want to start out by mentioning—venting in the chat. We understand everyone has issues and things going on in their lives that they need to talk about, but the general chat where everyone generally gathers is not the place for it. We care and so do your friends, so talk to someone privately.
• Offensive language or slurs are forbidden, in roleplay or out. You know joking is fine, but genuine threats or harsh words intended to harm are not okay.
• Swearing is permitted, just be mindful of others’ boundaries and comfort level. If they ask you to stop, you stop.
• Don't make a topic yourself, please ask a moderator! We’ll most likely agree to any reasonable request. In case anyone decides they don’t want to look for it, it’s literally right here.
• Keep your posts specific to whatever topic you’re in. For example, you may see a character in the character creation thread that you want to roleplay with—but there’s a topic meant for that. Reach out to the person individually or comment what your interest is and what you’re looking for within the proper topic.



Characters

• Make sure your template has all of the information required! We have a huge issue with past moderators not fully reading the templates and approving incomplete characters, but the moderator team has undergone renovation and this will no longer be an issue.
• You can have up to eight characters. There used to be a rule that you could have twelve with approval, but eight characters is plenty.
• Make sure your character is approved and added to the character list before roleplaying.
• Characters are to be realistic, which means not overpowered or invincible. Use common sense and be mindful when creating them.



Roleplay

• Please type in complete sentences with proper grammar and punctuation. Roleplays are to be conducted in the third person.
• No god-modding! Your characters (probably) cannot read minds and should not act with any knowledge or abilities beyond what a normal person possesses.
• Do not make major decisions without consulting your roleplay partner, or the moderators if it does not involve another member. Such as, do not kill another character without permission from the roleplayer or give your character unrealistic powers and abilities without asking first.
• Use brackets such as (), {}, and [] in a roleplay topic when speaking out of character.
• Please do not interfere in an active roleplay without permission from those engaged.
• If a roleplay thread has been inactive for a week, you may start a roleplay there.
• Characters may only be in one roleplay at a time.



Other

• This is a very random, should-not-be-a-problem rule—but one that unfortunately needs to be—we need to stop with the pregnancy roleplays. Characters twenty-one and over are the only ages allowed to be pregnant, but even then, this is a Camp Half-Blood roleplay—pregnancies are highly unnecessary and we’d incredibly prefer you take them elsewhere.
• If you have an issue with anything or anyone, message a moderator! Don’t inflate a situation, just ask for help so we can move on.
• Always remember to have fun! Oldie but a goodie kind of rule.
