I have a reading slump for months and lately it's becoming a bit depressing because this activity was my escape, it's a way that helps me to balance my mood.
So please give me any tips to overcome this phase.
In a reading slump, what I do is find a memoir! If the author reads it in audiobook form, even better. I just finished Crying in H Mart. It was on my Want To Read for a while and my friend happened to have a copy to let me borrow it. It was exactly what I needed to jump start my reading passion. If you can think of people that inspire you, you might very well find their memoir is waiting for you.
What exactly happened to me is that I read a wonderful book. And then I just find myself incapable of reading any other book ! And thank you so much for your comments, I'll definitely do as you both advised me
Try re-reading! It’s tough because I understand—I had the biggest slump, but now I am slowly recovering. I’d recommend planning and re-reading your 5/6-star books. Also, take your time and don’t pressure yourself, or you may end up not reading at all. Maybe you can also watch some book inspiration videos to help you get motivated. Setting small daily reading goals and finding a cozy, distraction-free reading nook can also be helpful. Joining a book club or discussing books with friends might rekindle your interest. Remember, it’s okay to take breaks and explore different genres to find what sparks joy. I know you’ll get through this.
