His grey eyes scanned the cloudless horizon, watching the sun starting to set over the dark blue waters of the ocean. Small waves lapped at the shore, like the luke warm liquid was tenderly caressing the pale white grains of sand. He himself was just sitting there quietly. The fiery orange and neon pink that was coloring the rapidly darkening sky reflecting off of his dully colored irises much like how the vibrant hues were doing off of the ocean's surface.

The sun bid him farewell as a momentary flash of green filled the sky, the signal that Kyle should stand and move on. Brushing away the grains which were sticking to clothing and shaking off the sand that was sitting on top of his feet, Kyle started to make his way along underneath the sheer faced cliffs. Occasionally he would look up, only to glance away again quickly as a sense of vertigo overtook his senses.

Eventually he reached a rocky cliff path which would lead him off of the shore and to the top of the natural wonders lining the edge of the earth. It was weary work, but Kyle soon felt his feet land on even ground, the view before him thoroughly astounding. A scattering of small boulders where around his immediately vicinity while numerous rocks and hunks of dirt were mingled in, the result a mosaic of earthen tones decorating the high peaks.
"Who are you?"The question came from a tanned man with thick dreds of dark blonde hair. He was Gabriel. Gabriel had watched the dark haired one climb the path, though he'd really only seen the back of his head. Still, this was the first person he had met.
Eyeing the new person with equal parts of interest and weariness, Kyle shoved his hands in his pockets, making sure to stay away from the edge of the cliff while also keeping close to the track. Alert. Focused. Ready to flee at a moments notice while also willing to talk to the man he was staring at. "Kyle. And you?" he asked with an even, almost bored tone. Best to stay unattached to emotions if things turned out for the worst.
"Gabriel." He stayed silent a moment, looking Kyle over. "How's the water?"
It was a fair question, though he wasn't particularly good with small talk. "Cold," he said, then decided to add, "Calm. It seems like it's good weather for swimming." Why was this man here? It was the first person he had seen thus far, or as far back as he could remember... which really wasn't all that far back. And to meet him here? It was more than a little suss. "What brings you here? The great view?"
