(Ok, so, Jasper was born Leonarda Bianca Stellar in Rome, Italy, but soon moved to Florence. Due to a genetic mutation, he came out blonde, which started some cheating allegations [nobody cheated… this time]. He spent the first five years of his life or so in Italy, and still speaks fluently, accent coming out when he’s agitated. His parents moved to Newark, New Jersey when he was two, though Jaz stayed another three years in Italy with his grandparents because they weren’t able to get little Jaz a green card.

Just before he turned six, his grandparents shoved him into a crate with fruit snacks, a water bottle, and Mr. Stampy, cut holes in the top [with him inside - first time he got gunk in his lungs but far from the last] and shipped him off to L.A., where they had moved earlier in the year. Jaz didn’t speak a word of English at this point, so he learned through American cartoons and people cussing eachother out near the window of the shitty apartment they were currently in, considering his parents didn’t bother to look at him. The neglect is why he’s so clingy nowadays.

He’d managed to learn enough by the time first grade rolled around, so he was enrolled for that [his parents got sick of him, like his grandparents] and tried to make new friends, but ‘Leonarda’ wasn’t exactly the most social kid… or normal. Jaz ate a lot of dirt as a kid, and got picked on.

By sixth grade, things had gotten so bad that he would come home with fresh bruises every night that were only added onto at home, and he’d been kicked out of three separate schools. By now, his parents were so sick of him that they sent him to a Catholic boarding academy… as he was figuring out his identity. He’d started going by Jasper, but, again, he was at a Catholic boarding school in the middle of nowhere.

The staff and students were not kind to him, even the staff tried to ‘beat the devil out of him’. He’d developed anorexia and would often cut himself either to punish himself or to try and kill himself, even going to scar as to attempt to hang himself. At one point, he even got cornered and almost killed when a group of older students electrocuted him with a car battery. The teachers refused to help him, instead kicking him in the ribcage and ordering him to get up. By second semester, 7th grade, he’d had enough. He gathered some gasoline and a lighter, ringing the school with the gasoline and lighting it up. That was the first time Jaz got arrested.

He ended up back in L.A. at a school for troubled children, where he ended up getting roped into the drug market. He’d already been addicted to painkillers since his time at the Catholic school, but now he had access to the stuff you think about when you think drugs - mostly, it was coke and weed. This would follow him for years. He’d also started getting into relationships, and with how he latches on to anyone who doesn’t despise him, most of them were very toxic and abusive, his partners using him for either sex, favors, or a toy to take out their anger. It could get quite physical, but he didn’t know what love should look like and so thought it was normal. By now, he was failing every class and half the time so battered that half of his face was purple, and he’d been to the emergency room seven times overall. It was also this year that he learned that his parents were dead and subsequently ran away.

Now homeless and addicted to way more than the human body should be able to handle, he spent his nights sleeping in alleyways and occasionally sneaking into hotels for air conditioning when the heat got dangerous. Half of his meals came out of the trash, and he was so fucked up that he couldn’t feel his face. He managed to get into a boarding academy again after a few years of contemplation, due to the severe trauma from the last boarding school. He was 15 by now. Of course, he’s a dunce, so he’s failing every class. One of the popular girls from the grade below offers to tutor him - it’s Lilli. They hit it off, and end up dating for a couple years, before she finds his stash of weed. She confronts Jasper about it, and he panics, running.

He’d also found a partner online, whom he planned on meeting that night… unfortunately, she was a wanted serial killer. Lexi wasn’t actually into him, just wanted to eat him, which she failed at, leaving Jasper as a vampire… however, she did succeed in stealing his wallet, which contained 10.39, his student ID, and three grams of coke. Jaz, unaware that he was a vampire, attempted to seek help, instead getting a nasty sunburn and feeding on some boy walking down the street. Panicking yet again, he darted into the nearest building - a motherfucking Hot Topic. He stayed there for the next three years, until learning about The Academy.) (hide spoiler)]
