MariaSt | 64 comments Personally I wouldn't do it because I like my books in a cronological order, but it's not mandatory to do that

❥Nira | 33 comments You should definitely read *Caraval* first! There are spoilers in *Once Upon a Broken Heart*, but key characters like Scarlet and Donatello from *Caraval* are mentioned. Jacks, who also plays a significant role in *Caraval*, appears in the series too. It's crucial to read *Caraval* first to fully understand and appreciate these connections. And honestly, I believe *Caraval* is even better than *Once Upon a Broken Heart*!

neath ✧ (neaths) | 47 comments damn I kinda regret reading ouabh before caraval now. I didn't know it was connected to caraval until a while ago

❥Nira | 33 comments Yes, it’s connected, but they don’t reveal who Legend is in *Once Upon a Broken Heart*. Essentially, *Caraval* is a game organized by Legend, a person no one has ever seen. I would still recommend reading *Caraval*. 🥰
