Susanne | 102 comments Create an account with Netgalley and/or Book Sirens, both are free. Then you can browse through the available books and request those that you want. Sometimes you'll be approved and you'll be notified via email and be able to download the book. Sometimes you'll be declined for whatever reason (eg they've got enough reviewers already). Netgalley has a Netgalley Shelf app where you can download and read your approved books and they don't have a limit as to how many books you can request, but you only have the book for 54 days so must read it in that time. Book Sirens allows you to download the book direct to your device so you can decide which ereader to use. On Book Sirens each book tells you how many days you have available to read it, usually anything between 30 and 90 days. To start with, you'll only be allowed to have one book at a time, but the more books you complete, the more they'll allow you to have at any given time. Book Sirens will also send you emails offering you various books available. With Netgalley, you can end up on a publisher's pre-approved list. The publisher will then send you an email of the latest ARC available and you will automatically be able to read it of you want to, no need to request it. I prefer Netgalley but I've had some great ones from Book Sirens too. I've read over 100 ARC's since I signed up for both about a year ago and its great fun!

Susanne | 102 comments By the way, the giveaways on Goodreads are often print copies. Unless you live in the US, you won't be eligible to enter those.

Berrin Nur | 162 comments i once read a book series and reviewed it on goodreads and reached out to the author. Later the author announced she opened a signup form for arcs for her upcoming books so now Im on her list of arcs for every book she writes.

MegNisms | 7 comments I'm an arc/beta reader. I mainly work with Indie authors through TikTok, Insta, & FB. A lot of authors have sign-ups for their arc & street teams. Check the author's social media for the links for the forms and be sure to sign up for their newsletters because they will drop there publicly. Typically, the only requirement is for you to have a social media page (amazon, GR, Insta, FB, TikTok, BB) where you can review and advertise the book. Also, most authors will send arc ebooks because it's less expensive than shipping physical copies. Hope this helps!

There are also many websites that offer them too.

Lisa Spofford (asildroffops) | 20 comments There are a lot of PR companies that work with indie authors and you can request arcs that way. You can find many of them of on Instagram or Facebook, but here are a few: Valentine PR, Wildfire Marketing Solutions, Literary Media Tours, Nerd Fam, Good Girls PR, Candi Kane PR, The Author Agency, Hayling Book Tours, TBR Book Tours, Hambright PR, Social Butterfly PR, MCMT Book Tours, Bookochure, Bibliolifestyle, Book of Matches, Give Me Books, Rachel’s Random Resources. Many of those have romance and fantasy books but not all of them. Sometimes they will send out a pr box if you review an ebook, which will include the paperback of the book plus swag. A few of the companies mail physical copies of books. If you are an influencer or have a blog, publishers open up periodically to sign up and you can request from a list of books and they will mail to you. Also, NetGalley will also allow you to download a copy of ebooks to your reader, giving you as much time as you need to read. Audiobooks have to been listened to on their app, but once you have downloaded them, they don’t expire. NetGalley has both indie books and those from publishers. You can also sign up for books on Booksprout.co.

Yes, I love NetGalley. I get at least 10 good titles from them every year, and some anticipated titles with a lot of buzz.

Wendy Hart | 1 comments Nicole, Would you be interested in doing an ARC review of my book, Birds in the Nest, set in Northern Ireland and Australia between 1897 & 1932.
