Carol/Bonadie (bonadie) | 9538 comments A friend of mine is making his way through the Reacher series by Lee/Andrew Child and is already looking for his next series. What he likes about the Reacher series is the detail Child offers when he introduces something, like how a sharp shooter sets up a shot or the technical aspects of defusing a bomb or the best way to dispense with an attack mob when you're outnumbered. Or the details of getting around a city or other setting.

Can anyone offer suggestions on authors/series that offer this kind of detail? (I'm looking at you, Barry and Dan, in particular).

Thanks in advance.

Gflyy Dewyea | 11 comments Sounds like he would love Jack Carr and his Terminal List series. They’re great books. Jack was a former Navy Seal Sniper and pours all his military knowledge into his books with astounding detail. He just released his 7th in the series, Red Sky Mourning, which pays an homage to 007 and Ian Fleming. Also, Mark Greaney and his Gray Man series would be a good one to get into as well.
