Horror recs with gore and something like cannibalism?

Always find myself being the most disturbed by the cannibalism gore, but I can’t find many good horror books! I’m kinda new to horror, but realized I don’t really like the paranormal scary stuff, but more the ‘could happen in real life’.

We need to do something by Max Booth lll , not over the top cannibalism but it is gory and a quick read to determine if it’s your style !

Pet Semetary had a fair amount of gore 💕

I would recommend Brother (Ania Ahlborn) or Tender Is the Flesh (Agustina Bazterrica). Both are great books, but with very different vibes. Also on my tbr, I have A Certain Hunger (Chelsea G Summers).
