Are merges stuck again

I reported it to support. Considering last time it took them a month to fix, I'm not holding my breath.
Of course, support asks twenty irrelevant questions instead of escalating and resolving. Here we go again.

Is it related to this issue?"This seems unrelated since it is a problem with all works and editions, not just deleted ones.

David, I looked at your two examples and both of those editions have been marked invalid by staff. I've noticed that happening more and more. Doesn't that remove those readers' ratings and reviews from valid editions of the title and defeat the purpose of a merge?
(examples deleted)
Nay, staff have set the status of four of the editions stuck in queue to invalid after I reported the queue issue to them. I don't know why they did that and I asked them to revert them back to public. There are twenty more in my list, and they are not set invalid. Here are a few more examples, just to prove my point, stuck since 7 August:

The problem is that these deletions are stuck in queue. It has nothing to do with staff setting editions to invalid instead of deleting them and I suggest we don't muddy the water and conflate the two.
ETA: The relevant editions were set back to public. The merge is still stuck in the queue.

David wrote: "Nay, staff have set the status of four of the editions stuck in queue to invalid after I reported the queue issue to them."So, is it best not to report them? 🤨

I am exactly at this dilemma.
ETA: The relevant editions were set back to public. The merge is still stuck in the queue.
I got the following message from support:I'm sorry to hear about this. We've forwarded your report to our developers so they can investigate the issue. Our correspondence might close within the next few days since the issue has been escalated to the developers. However, we'll let you know once it's been resolved.
We are sorry for the inconvenience and we appreciate your understanding and patience as we work toward a resolution.
So, high hopes?
Does merges being stuck also mean separations are stuck, or is that a separate issue?(Someone managed to combine all the editions of Jean Giraudoux's Électre with Sophocles' Elektra...)
Beluosus wrote: "Does merges being stuck also mean separations are stuck, or is that a separate issue?"Separating and combining are working. Only merges (=deletions) are stuck.
I think the issue is resolved. All the merges seems to have now went through the queue, five days later.
There is 16 hours delay at this point. Here is one merge which went through recently:https://www.goodreads.com/book/edits/...
ETA: now it is 19 hours:
https://www.goodreads.com/book/edits/...
About 34 hours delay now:https://www.goodreads.com/book/edits/...
ETA: I now had a few merges complete almost instantly, so this is probably resolved. I do still have a few old merges in the queue.
I wonder if the ebook/Kindle merges the bot is doing is causing the delay since it's deleting so many editions.

Anyone else observing this?
ETA: The editions above were set as invalid and restored to public. Here are two more examples, stuck since 7 August, which did not go though those changes.
